Meet Thom Ray | Holistic Guru & Spirituality Oracle

We had the good fortune of connecting with Thom Ray and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Thom, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Integrity, staying true to my moral compass while traversing the path of life without being distracted or influenced by the noise of the world we live in today and allowing it to pull me off my course of destiny. Standing in my integrity to me means that every action I take in regards to any choice I am making is not only for my highest good and best self, but a decision made from deep consideration and not the first thought to pass through me, having the patience to discern what is truly the finest, principled, and crystal clear result that furthers the benefit of the collective.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a student of life I am ever expanding my knowledge furthering my core practices of Spirituality Guidance, Holistic Healing, and Self Empowerment through one-on-one ceremonies breaking down all barriers for those willing to take a leap of faith into radical self love and acceptance. Resourcing necessary cultural and academic materials to enlighten myself before I can illuminate others is a challenge that is beyond rewarding and overflowing with expansive prosperity that permeates into every aspect of my life and those who seek my guidance. Overcoming the hardships of life is one of the most common threads that connects us all together, suffering, surviving, and conquering obstacles that may have seemed impossible is not something unique to any one being, the circumstances however are, this distinction allows us to each have a different perspective to resurrect ourselves like the Phoenix from the ashes, anew taking the lessons we have experienced to lay out a new path forward with higher understanding and awareness. Currently in conjunction with other Alchemists we are building an immersive online network to share our gifts in an accessible approach for those guided to us by the universe in which our reciprocity is to donate a portion of funds to charities that focus on healing Mother Earth and all creatures that call her home.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Tucson is an eclectic city full of diverse people from all over the world, delectable eateries, shopping districts all surrounded by mountain landscapes that appear as if they are paintings in the distance. Anyone visiting Tucson would not want to miss out on the best 23 miles of Mexican food in the country which is dedicated a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. A perfect place to start and get a wide sampling of multiple types of cuisine is one of my favorites located on the East side called The Pit, a food truck park and market where gathering around a communal table to indulge in delicacies from trucks like Samurai Sombrero, featuring a fusion of Japanese Sushi and Mexican, or Cool Runnings serving authentic Jamaican. While wandering the downtown district there is a multitude of dinning and shopping to be had with quaint boutiques such as Pop-Cycle featuring unique gifts and fashions that are sure to get you ready for a night out at the best LGBTQIA+ vintage watering hole called IBT’s where you can see drag performances and dance the night away! When it’s time to reset head over to Kadampa Meditation Center for a silent retreat or classes in varied forms of meditative exercises, and keep up the chill vibes by heading out on a relaxing hike to Picture Rock Petroglyphs or to the Suguaro National Park where you can experience markings from the Hohokam indigenous peoples who once called the area home. Tuscon is home to a huge art scene as well, with many galleries and museums to take in the splendor of the visual arts first hand.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
While there have been countless beings that have brought me immeasurable expansion, I shall name two who recently have gifted me vast insight, healing, and overwhelming self discovery contributing to my overall betterment. Roxanne Nelson, the proprietor of Mindful Healing Practice in Stockton, NJ has been a tremendous practitioner to receive transformational curative Reiki and Amy Michelle the visionary behind The Haus of Zen in Phoenix, AZ who has reshaped and enchanted my mind and body through a myriad of healing modalities such as Synergy Bodywork and Quantum Energy Healing.
