In 2021, Billboard magazine released findings of a 10 year study and survey conducting analysis of the entire music industry. They found that only that 14% of songwriters were women. The gender equality gap in production, song writing and entertainment does stop there. even fewer of that 14% are disabled, minorities or plus sized. This not only makes what I do important but also rare. Sadly the public being used to only supporting what they have normalized – this makes me marginalized and unicorn as a plus sized, women of color that produces, records and performs. Read more>>
