Meet Eden Benibo | Founder/Editorial Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eden Benibo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eden, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
With 30 amazing founding team members who double as creatives, we basically started Hello ICON Magazine to build a space we once searched for. Where Art can be a binding tool, beyond all racial, gender, ideological, age and religious differences.
Basically redefining Art, uplifting young creatives and telling the stories that needs to be told.
Ultimately to be a space where Creatives can get paid for simply doing what they love. Where a writer, editor, graphic designer can say “Hey, I work for this magazine and live the life of my dreams by simply living my passion.”
These and more are the thought processes behind Hello ICON Magazine

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hello ICON Magazine is the first digital space that redefines and uses Art as a tool to correct faulty orientations, harness human capital for socio-economic development and create global connections beyond racial, gender, age and ideological differences.
Hello ICON is a digital media established primarily to solve the following three global issues:
1.Global Poverty/Financial Needs: At Hello ICON Magazine, my team and I do not only see poverty in terms of lack of finances, but also every need of humanity. For example: Poverty of dreams, poverty of quality relationships which all lead to a world full of unhappy and unfulfilled people.
2. Faulty Orientations: This encompasses all aspects of life and is the root of many problems te world is encountering today. Our world has been confined to many limiting and myopic definitions and socail norms leading to the mental slavery of many. My team and I believe the media is a powerful tool that can do more to shine the light of positivity.
3. Global Disconnection/Disunity: There is this subtle increasing segregation in the world today. Even in the creative industry. Communities that further highlight our differences as humans rather than focus on the beauty of this uniqueness. Platforms that produces contents for only men, only women, only certain race. Consciously and unconsciously, this builds walls between us as humans.
outside the box’ qualities. From empathy, love, kindness, selflessness to consistency, diligence, discipline and everything beautiful!
Here’s to a space where Art meets purpose
Here’s to making real time impact
Here’s to living and not just existing
Here’s to moving from surviving to thriving beyond all odds Here’s to YOU.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mum. She’s my best girl and has been there for me literally all my life. She’s the first person I shared my business idea with and still the first human I run to in between this entrepreneurial journey.
