We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liz, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I think the most important decision I have ever made was to be fearless of rejection. I was always raised to think, that the worst thing someone could say was “no.” Who cares if you are rejected in your craft, it only takes one “yes” from someone who sees your worth. Even if a door is closing with strict criticism, you can learn something vital to improve your craft or open the door to a hopeful networking opportunity. I cannot tell you how many opportunities, and introductions I have gotten as a result of asking politely for help or ideas from likeminded creatives.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Liz Anderson, and my media company is called Lady Daze Creative. We offer all inclusive media production services for any person, business, designer or entrepreneur looking to expand their marketing approach.  Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible brands, inspiring business owners and even esteemed celebrities. Together, we’ve embarked on unforgettable journeys, crafting editorial productions that bring my client’s visions to life and generate genuine media exposure.

In the world of fashion editorial, I’ve always sought to push boundaries. My approach starts with deep diving right into trying to fully understand my clients’ unique needs, wanting to ensure that their brand’s essence will be sure to shine through every frame. This starts by selecting quirky and extraordinary locations that offer a striking contrast, breathing life into unexpected scenes. For instance, imagine a stunning model adorned in elegance, posing on the hood of a busted up car in a forgotten junkyard. I fall in love with the juxtaposition of beauty and decay! For me, the pairing of. fancy silk dress & a shattered Chevy’s 1979 car window is the stuff that dreams are made of! My goal is to always tell a visual story that captivates and invites viewers to delve deeper into the end result.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Have you been explored the website ‘Atlas Obscura’? Because it is both WONDERFUL & quite insane. It is my ‘go to’ for location scouting or if I want to explore a quaky slice of local history. I want to drag a friend to go and visit an old brothel in the basement of a pizza parlor, an abandoned circus on the side of the road or try a hole in the wall Ethiopian restaurant!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It is so impossible to give a shout out to only one person! I’m so thankful to my community of likeminded creatives who have spent countless hours mentoring me through the years! I guess my shoutout goes to everyone in my life that has been “kinder than necessary”, as those types always tug the hardest at my heart strings!
