We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Penman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chase, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factors behind the success of Warrior Woodworking come down to our three step approach.

1. Deliver a top quality product. We take extra, detail oriented, steps to create beautifully crafted walls.
2. Communicating clearly. We communicate about designs and ideas, lock down installation dates, confirm appointments the day before, and let customers know when we are 20-30 minutes from arrival.
3. Ensure customer satisfaction. This is done by doing what we say we are going to do and making sure our customers are happy at the end of the job.

With this approach, our business has grown mainly by word of mouth through referrals and the reason why we have 100% 5 star Google reviews.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As we all know, art is generally subjective. However when it comes to accent and feature walls, nothing is subjective. The craftsmanship is either beautifully done or it is not. Taking the time to get it right and make sure every wall is stunning is what sets us apart from other companies. We did not start in this industry so this hasn’t been a business about cutting corners, trying to maximize profits, or just finding a niche in a long career of construction. We started this company out of a labor of love. We love what we do. I am a US Army Combat Veteran and with a military approach to high levels of detail, we deliver the best product in the valley. Fortunately, we have not had to face too many challenges to date. A valuable lesson I learned in Corporate America was customer service. When you put your customers first and build your business around their dreams, all you have to do is deliver and that is exactly what we do. We make our clients dream walls and rooms come to life. If there is one thing I want people to know about our company, it is that we truly care!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone was visiting Arizona, we would first hope that it was not during the summer so we could enjoy more outdoor activities. My wife and I are big fitness enthusiasts so outdoor hiking is key! Arizona has some beautiful sunrises and sunsets and hiking a mountain is a great way to capture those moments. Aside from fitness, we are also total foodies so hitting a few good spots usually come to mind. For the best atmosphere and some pretty amazing food, I would recommend ‘The Mexicano’ at Tatum and Cactus. We also are big fans of Mellow Mushroom so a trip there for pizza is definitely on the list. One of my newest favorite eateries is called ‘The Spot – Mediterranean food’ which is 16th street and Bell rd. It is only a few months old but the staff and the food is amazing beyond comprehension!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give a massive shoutout to my wife, Michelle. You see, I came from Corporate America and had a pretty successful career in finance. Warrior Woodworking came from a passion around artistry and my love for building. I remodeled homes and crafted on weekends until I decided to start a side business. When launching, she was very supportive because she knew I was happier crafting then I was sitting behind a computer, and working for someone else. Within three months of being in business, we started to grow at a rate that nearly replaced by day job’s income. My wife was the one who gave me the strength to walk away from my day job and encourage me to follow this dream. She is a Firefighter for the city of Phoenix, tougher than a woodpecker’s lips, and my absolute rock in providing a comforting feeling that this was the right choice.
