Meet Toni Leo | clinical psychologist, founder/director of nonprofit animal sanctuary, chef/baker for food truck, B&B owner, maker of soaps and candles

We had the good fortune of connecting with Toni Leo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Toni, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I decided to start my own business because I wanted maximum flexibility in my schedule, and the ability to determine how my business functioned including quality control.
I actually have several small businesses, each providing a different service to the community.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a clinical psychologist by training. Started a 501c3 nonprofit animal sanctuary in 2005, a B&B in 2007, and a vegetarian food truck (now completely vegan) in 2008. Started making soap in 2020. I enjoy every aspect of all the things I do.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take them to the vineyards if they wanted wine. I personally do not drink but many folks do, and a wine country tour is perfect in our area. I’d also take them to Parker Canyon lake. And of course they’d spend time at Whisper’s Sanctuary 🙂 and eating our amazing vegan food.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I thank my late husband for giving me opportunities to do what matters most to me.
