We don’t believe success is random. Over the years we have spoken with hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, researchers, athletes, and more. We’ve learned from them – both through their stories and through the advice they’ve shared with us – and it’s quite evident that success is more likely when certain habits are present. So, we decided to ask folks to share their habits with us, especially those that they feel helped them succeed.

Steven Law | Writer and poet

One of my most beneficial habits is regular meditation. I find that after a good meditation session I am once again centered and grounded. As a writer and poet there is a certain sweet spot, a certain balance, a certain zone where, when I reach it, my best ideas, inspiration and insights flow. My best writing occurs when I’m in that state of consciousness and calm. Read more>>

At a young age I was an athlete and the discipline and focus I learned have really. helped me as an adult. When you own your own business, it is easy to get distracted and focus on things that don’t produce an income. Early on in my career I developed a habit of making sure I spent time every single day on connecting with people in my database. In the beginning it required a lot of discipline, especially since I typically have the attention span of a squirrel. I had to start slowly working my way up now to spending at least an hour every single day. What used to require energy and discipline I now look forward to. I give everyone I connect with my sole, undivided attention and pour my focus into connecting and sustaining those relationships. Read more>>

The habits I feel have helped me succeed are being a self starter, disciplined, determined, having integrity and customer service. Consistency has been key for me. It sounds boring, but showing up daily to just do the work is what I most attribute to my success in both my business and athletic training. I never set out to have my own design business, but in retrospect it suits my nature perfectly. I’m very independent and have strong organizational and communication skills. Those traits come natural to me and it’s something I’ve taken for granted because I used to assume everyone operates that way, but I’ve learned that isn’t necessarily the norm in this business. I have a good eye and provide consistent, high quality work to my clients every time, which I believe has kept the business growing over the years. Read more>>

Success in my line of work comes down to a few key habits: a solid morning routine, a never-ending thirst for learning, and a balance between being an entrepreneur and a creative. My day kicks off at 4 AM with some inspirational reading, diving into books about leadership or business strategies. Then, it’s off to the gym, where I find my energy levels and creativity hit their peak. It’s there, amid my workouts, that some of my best ideas for client strategies and marketing come to life. This mix of mental and physical activity really sets the tone for my day, keeping me sharp and full of energy. Read more>>

In my opinion, the things that have helped me the most in my business are discipline and relationships. Sometimes, we don’t realize the power of relationships. It’s common to feel tired from work and not attend many events or invitations from friends to go out for dinner, celebrate a birthday, or engage in activities unrelated to work. However, when one steps out of their business and starts connecting with other people, there’s always the inevitable question, “What do you do?” That’s where I’ve found a lot of opportunities and have ended up in companies and places I never imagined. All these social events provide a great stage to showcase our work. Read more>>

Consistency. When it comes to business, beef, burgers, customers, and employees, consistency is just as important as the product and service you provide. That has been a mantra for myself and my business partner since the beginning of this project in Capital Farms, We aim to be consistent in the way we conduct ourselves in business and in making deals with other businesses when we say we are going to do it. We do it. Even to the smallest transaction of a single burger or beef purchase at the storefront, we want to do that with consistent hours, enthusiastic/knowledgeable service, quality of product, and customer satisfaction. That’s the kind of consistency coupled with a quality product and service our team provides that helps us excel. Read more>>
