Meet Jason Merkin | Aesthetic Sales Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Merkin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
To create a one stop shop for the latest technologies and trends in aesthetics. Not being tied to one manufacturer allows me to be more of a consultant for my customers to find the best solutions to help increase profitability and growth through the latest medical aesthetic technologies.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After six years of selling voice and data solutions to small and medium-sized businesses for Verizon Wireless, I started my medical sales journey in 2013. Since then he has worked for companies such as Lumenis, Venus Concept, Aesthetic Management Partners, & Evolus. I have achieved President’s Club four times, Rookie of the Year, Top Sales, Top Revenue, and other various sales accolades over the years. In early 2022, after helping build several start-up companies I decided to start my own distributorship called Archon Aesthetics.

The goal of Archon Aesthetics is to source the latest and most unique technologies in the aesthetic market to help medspas, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and nurse injectors find new treatment modalities that differentiate them from the stale industry brands. Archon Aesthetics has a double meaning behind it. The actual definition is a chief magistrate in ancient Athens, “ruler,” or a presiding officer. Those that know me personally may also know that I am also a musician and perform in a local rock band called AVARIST. My favorite and most recent guitar amplifier is called the “Archon” made by Paul Reed Smith. In starting this new venture, I wanted to incorporate his passion for music with his passion for aesthetics.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely check out some local live music at the Crescent Ballroom, the Marquee theatre, or the Nile. The MIM is also an excellent museum to check out.

I love all of the usual places in AZ including Sedona, Prescott, Flagstaff, Bisbee, and Jerome. If you want to try the best pizza check out Limoncello Pizzeria Napoletana in Prescott. I LOVE food so I would also recommend Tarbell’s, Steak 44, Cafe Monarch, Bourbon & Bones, and Maple & Ash to name a few.

The Japanese Friendship Garden is worth checking out as well as the Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out to Jason Bernal at Reliant Capital as well as Erin Cooper & Leslie Johnson at Med Surg Academy. Financing in the laser aesthetic space can be an arduous process for both the customer and myself. I have worked with Jason Bernal at Reliant Capital for many years with various companies and he has been such a huge help to take one less thing off my plate.

Med Surg Academy and Laser Aesthetics is one of my local partnerships for training and education. Erin, Leslie, & Syerra are all fantastic to work with, great trainers, and are just some of the best people in our industry.
