Hi Jamme, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I am thee ultimate risk taker, without risk their is no reward! My entire life and career have thrived off of taking risks and seeing what happens. I’ve created some beautiful partnerships and have learned some not so beautiful lessons along the way too!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is in everything I do! Staying creative and focused on what I’m capable of doing whether I’m building my event company Zen Events Az, working on my inner family business, taking part in modeling/runway shows or deep diving into machine learning and commercial drone software development is what sets me apart from most women and business owners. I’m big on manifesting and knowing that your thoughts become your reality. I was born and raised in council bluffs, Iowa and spent 16 years and older in Omaha Ne where I met my husband Eric in high school at Omaha North High. I’ve been a fearless dreamer since I was born. I’m most proud of the family I’ve created, seeing how each one of my 3 children have my same independence and fearlessness makes me so proud that they connect with me on that deeper level. I got where I am today professionally by knowing what it is I want and executing the vision I’ve set forth for myself. Being consistent and setting goals, having a plan and a purpose are all mandatory if you want to grow. Not listening to just anyone was major for me also and attracting those who feed and water me are essential when creating this world. I’ve been through so many disappointments that you learn the only one who can truly make you happy and proud is you. Your decision making over your life is crucial! So I learned early on that I have to create the world I deserve and want! I want the world to know that we represent peace, love and all things good in my family and brand. Our brand is very easy going and ZEN! A place where time moves just a little bit slower so the moment can be personable and cherished. We like to smile and enjoy the high vibrations in life while we connect with one another!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would start by taking her out to dinner at The Perch in downtown Chandler. Grab some delicious food and watch the exotic birds! Then I’d have her tag along with me to one of my events at Kenect Phoenix downtown skyrise and enjoy a comedy night or karaoke night on their rooftop! Maybe catch a Suns game at the footprint center. We would definitely have to make a trip to Sedona for a few days and rent a townhome at Arroyo Roble resort. Their we could go hiking, do a jeep tour in the red rocks and go to Slide Rock to go down the rock waterslides and swim in the creek! Shopping their local shops is a must too!. Being a licensed bartender and bar manager I would take her to pick some fresh fruit because we will be making Fresh Grapefruit Paloma’s and Mango Margaritas all week! I would finish the trip by dropping her off at the airport in one of the driverless taxis by Waymo! That’s always an experience when coming to Arizona.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely my father and mother! Him as a musician, artist, carpenter, designer and my mom as a seamstress and business woman, I learned so much about hard work, being consistent and having your own! I started working at 13 on a farm in Iowa making candles for their local gift shop, I was very eager to work and make my own money. I then started painting and selling my art work at festivals and vendor events. I give all of my entrepreneurial genes to them!
