The idea: where or how did you come up with it?

Ideas aren’t everything, execution matters greatly, but starting often requires an idea and so we asked folks to think back and tell us the story of how they came up with the idea for their businesses. We’ve highlighted some of our favorite stories below.

In a way, VFX has always been part of my journey in the film industry. I’m a child of the Spielberg-Lucas blockbuster era which means Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind were the one-two punch that sparked my love of movies and my interest in being a filmmaker. My husband and I bought our first 1956 vintage trailer in 2014 and we decided to renovate it together to use for camping, My love for the vintage trailers grew a lot in that project. We had owned several classic cars together, but that was really more of my husband’s thing to work on the mechanicals of a motor vehicle.
