Meet Esperanza Scotto | Blogger & Social Media Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Esperanza Scotto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Esperanza, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I have been blogging and sharing content on social media for the past 8 years. It has been an amazing outlet for me to share all the things I love, like coffee, fashion, home goods, boutiques, travel, and more. On my blog (theurbandarling.com) and socials (@theurbandarling), I share a lot of travel guides/travel content, which I am very passionate about! Before I go on a trip, I spend time researching my destination to find unique boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, and attractions to feature in my content. My background is interior design, so I gravitate towards well designed spaces. I focus on featuring local shops & small businesses, and I like to think that it’s my way of supporting them. When I’m not traveling, I love checking out new places in Phoenix to feature on my socials as well!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a blogger and social media content creator, it’s easy to compare yourself to others or feel like you have to jump on a trend because everyone else is. I try to avoid falling into gimmicks even if I know that will get me more views or gain followers because it’s just not me. Instead, my goal is to always share content that is meant to be helpful, informational, inspirational, motivational, etc. This is how I remain genuine and authentic to myself, which gives me peace of mind at the end of the day. It makes me so happy when I hear from a local business who started getting more traffic from a blog post of mine or a follower who used my travel guide during her trip. At times, I have shared vulnerable moments in my life which was hard to do, but worth it when I realized how many people I helped in sharing that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
