We had the good fortune of connecting with Eli Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eli, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Being in the financial sector, things can be pretty scary for the community and client. That feeling that we are either not ready or ill prepared to talk to a financial professional, and almost feeling that you have failed yourself and your family and that buying a home is too far out of reach. The way I approach my business allows our clients to truly feel comfortable going though the home buying or refinance process. To have a real conversation with empathy and that our clients are felt heard. I strive on having that right bed side manner during this emotional milestone in one’s life. We answer questions and ease the stress as much as possible, so they can understand and have that feeling of accomplishment in owning a home and building wealth. Whether it is time to buy a home now or later, we hope to bring a positive experience and be that accountability partner in this space. Everyone deserves to be in a home to build memories of a lifetime and give that proud feeling that you can do it, that you did it, and you are able to leave a legacy. #Wegotyou

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I come from some crazy industries here in AZ. From selling apartments early in my professional life, to being a general manager for a small team building company, doing business to business sales with a fortune 500 company and then a smaller payroll company. Now a licensed mortgage professional, I have learned to collaborate. In everything I have done, I was able to assist many industries doing the same job. Being genuine, and able to dissect a process from start to finish is how we can lead people and the clients to an end result. Having the right conversations learning new ways to build your business is how we can overcome our challenges. I felt like with these jobs, I have reinvented myself and able to learn skills to truly build a community. Therefore my brand and how I communicate with others goes a lot further and able to hit home on what we are looking to solve for our clients and business partners.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend is visiting, some favorite spots here in AZ, to visit, would be some of our favorite restaurants and activities in the valley. Love to hit up places like Queen Creek Olive Mill, or Humble Bistro. Do a staycation at a beautiful resort, like the Fairmont or Omni Montelucia. Enjoying food and drinks at the hotel pools and spas. Then hit up a sports game with the Dbacks, or the Waste Management Open. relax even at my home to cook and go cheer my son on playing soccer that weekend. Very relaxing and great conversations no matter where we are in the valley.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My true shutout is my wife Devin Hernandez. Without her I am not able to be present in this business. We hold each other to higher standards and to make sure that we are first, business is second. If things are not what they need to be at home, then they are definitely not what they need to be in your sphere of influence outside of your home. To build on your business everyday little by little takes complete support and patience. Devin has the right way to motivate me everyday and we truly have a give and take when we are going through our work weeks and our kids schedules. I have no idea how we do it, but doing it with the person you love, is the most amazing feeling.
