We had the good fortune of connecting with Corina Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Corina, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Taking risks makes feel excited, anxious and sometimes resistant, but I’ve learned that taking risks is an opportunity for growth. That’s helped me in my career path now and why I’ve decided to open up my new lash business.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art as a lash and brow artist goes far beyond beauty— It’s about transformation, confidence, and connection. What excites me most is seeing small details like a perfectly lifted lash or well shaped brow can completely change how someone feels about themselves, the spark in their eyes when they look in the mirror is the best part of what I do.

Getting here wasn’t easy when I first started there were doubts, challenges, and a lot of learning curves, but I stayed committed because I fell in love with the craft. I pushed through long days, kept investing in my education and trusted that my passion would guide me. Those challenges taught me resilience, patience, and that every setback is really a set up for growth.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that this industry is about more than just skill it’s about heart. My clients don’t just come in for lashes or brows, they come in for an experience a moment to feel seen and cared for.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built on authenticity and artistry. It’s not just beauty, its empowerment. Every service I offer is done with intention, creativity and love for my craft. This is my art, my passion, and my way of helping people feel their most confident selves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As an Arizona native, I would say the best time of year to visit would be in the spring, because the summer time is just way too hot to do anything. I would probably start off every day with getting Iced coffee at a trendy coffee shop, maybe at Light heart in North Scottsdale or Le Ame at the Global Ambassador. Then, I would shoot to have a sunset view for dinner and cocktails at Thea also at the Global Ambassador or have a few cocktails at a roof top bar in downtown Phoenix.

Definitely would have to get some of the besties together and go to brunch at Maple and Ash and have a Sunday Funday in old town Scottsdale, or do a little shopping at Fashion Square mall.

Making a day or weekend trip down to Sedona would have to be a must! I don’t visit often but would love to get out of the city and catch fresh air and scenery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t have the courage to take such huge leaps without the love of my family, the guidance of my mentor Alexis Delalama and the support and trust I have from my clients. Each and every one of you has helped me grow into this new chapter
