We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Costa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I can say with certainty the number one factor to BURN’s success is consistency and authenticity in the service we provide and in how we communicate and connect with clients. We strive to make every experience reflect the same high standard and the same values, so clients know exactly what they can expect when come to the studio. With how fast the fitness industry has changed in recent years, staying true to what we offer has been in the forefront. We don’t try to be everything to everyone. We do one thing and we do it really well and after 9 years that builds trust. We build real relationships—connecting with clients on a personal level so they feel seen, supported, and valued. Consistency, authenticity, and connection together are what create long-term success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I came to the U.S. for college and quickly realized how tough it was to build a life and career here. The trials I faced demanded grit, patience, and trust in the process. Those challenges tested me in every way – mentally, emotionally and professionally. Those experiences have shaped and molded me into who I am today.

What sets me apart is resilience and authenticity. I’ve learned that struggle isn’t a roadblock but a stepping stone. That’s what BURN stands for: strength born from challenge, community fueled by connection, and growth that comes when you refuse to give up. Show up every day even when the pay off seems far off.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I definitely have my favorite spots here. I love sushi and have taken friends to Uchi in Old Town. It’s just melt in your mouth good. And the atmosphere is very cool with very upscale and professional service. A drink at the Jade Bar in the Sanctuary resort is also a favorite. In Old Town, it’s really fun to have a girl day of lunch and browsing the shops after. Even getting some permanent jewelry together. There are a couple outdoor, pedestrian shopping centers, that’s really nice to browse through as well. A day trip to Prescott is one of my favs to go paddle boarding in the lake.
Scottsdale is choc full of gorgeous resorts and spas for a chill day of pampering.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are a few shoutout that need highlighting. Behind the scenes of this business is someone who rarely gets the spotlight but deserves some credit. My husband, Michael, has been on this journey from the start. This isn’t just my business, it’s ours. He’s the one in the background taking care of the minutia and keeps all the wheels turning and I’m grateful.

From day one, Tiffany, one of my first instructors from day one, has been by my side in this business—supporting, encouraging, and showing up through it all. Her loyalty, hard work, and belief in what we’re building have been a driving force in our journey. She’s become a lifeline and I couldn’t imagine doing this without her.

Finally, our instructors are the heartbeat of this business. They show up day after day, bringing their energy, passion, and commitment to every class. They don’t just teach—they inspire, motivate, and pour their best into every single client who walks through our doors. Without them, there is no BURN.
