We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Isfan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Lash Rebellion was about more than just doing lashes — I wanted to create a space where women feel empowered, confident, and cared for. I’ve always loved beauty and the way it can completely change how someone feels about themselves, and after years of working for others, I realized I had my own vision.

I wanted to build a brand that reflects freedom, rebellion against society’s pressure to ‘look perfect,’ and instead celebrates self-expression. Lash Rebellion is about giving clients a moment of peace, a boost of confidence, and a look that feels like them — bold, effortless, and authentic. Starting my own business let me control the experience, set the vibe, and connect with clients on a deeper level

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started Lash Rebellion during a time when I was rediscovering who l was. I had spent years showing up for everyone else, shrinking parts of myself to fit into spaces that didn’t see me—and I knew I needed to reclaim my power.
Lashes became my art form, but the mission was always much deeper than that. Lash Rebellion is about more than just great lashes — it’s about self-expression, empowerment, and rewriting the rules of what beauty ‘should’ look like. I customize every set to fit who my client is, not just what’s trending, because when you sit in my chair, you’re not just getting lashes — you’re being seen, celebrated, and reminded of how powerful you are.

Getting here has been a journey. It wasn’t easy to leave behind stability and bet on myself. There were days when fear and doubt felt louder than my vision. But every challenge taught me something — to be patient with growth, to trust my gut, and to show up anyway, even when it felt uncomfortable.

What sets Lash Rebellion apart is the heart behind it. This business is my love letter to those who are ready to step into their confidence.

What I’m most proud of is not just the transformations I create on the outside, but the way my clients light up from the inside when they see themselves in the mirror. That moment — that confidence — is everything to me.

Lash Rebellion is here to remind people that beauty is rebellion in the most sacred sense — rising after you’ve been dimmed, daring to be seen, and showing up unapologetically as yourself

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love how diverse Phoenix is.

The Phoenix Art Museum is always offering inspiring exhibits, and it’s fun to walk around and spend an afternoon.

For pool/spa day, I love to spend time at Montelucia…the view of camelback mountain is spectacular.

Dick’s Hideaway is a staple. Brunch, happy hour, dinner…absolutely delicious.

For cocktails I love spending a girls night out at AZ88 for martini’s and I look forward to seeing their art installations.

My favorite natural wine bar is Sauvage…they have different food vendors every night and they are always fabulous.

I always always take anyone visiting to Base Pizzeria, family owned, brick oven pizza…one of my favorite spots.

Coffee is a must and I have a few favorite spots which include, Dark Hall, Lux Central, Strip Mall.

I love to shop secondhand and some of my favorite shops are Meat Market Vintage, Retro Ranch, Vamp Rodeo, Wicker Goddess.

Groundwrk hands down is my favorite workout… choice of lift classes or spin.

I also enjoy the Uptown Farmers Market…food trucks, fresh produce, fun artistic items and connecting with the community.

Phoenix offers so many different activities depending on your interests and what you’re looking to do, you will always find something.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to my village — the mentors, friends, fellow entrepreneurs, and clients who’ve shown up for me, believed in me, inspired and pushed me to take risks. Each of them has shaped Lash Rebellion in their own way, and I wouldn’t be here without their support. Success is never a solo journey, and I’m so grateful for every person who’s been part of mine.
