Meet Kenzie And Marcell | Co-Founders of Griswold House Media

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenzie And Marcell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenzie and Marcell, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk to us is a word that is loaded with a lot of history. We were childhood friends who came from a background that made taking risks scary and predestined to fail. It had the impact of causing us to present to the world in the safest most palatable way we possibly could… in other words, inauthentic, “boring” versions of ourselves. This background and successfully figuring out how to course correct in our personal lives have given us the tools and vision needed to showcase what’s truly unique about a business, a brand, or even a personality. This boldness in our careers has made us experts in helping others amplify their authenticity worldwide!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Griswold House Media in its current form, is an homage to our friendship of over 17 years. We are multidisciplinary artists who love to create. Marcell has over 15 years of sales/marketing experience and has been the founder of a local swimming pool contracting business for nearly a decade, and a published photographer/videographer. Kenzie currently manages social media for some of the most iconic AZ brands. She has over 300k followers across the various accounts she manages.

Together, we are Griswold House, an agency dedicated to helping amplify the brands we represent. We pair our award-winning visuals with strategic social media management with the overall goal of helping drive business in a very real way. What makes us unique is that we are a creative partner who has the know-how to help you execute the vision you see, but may need a helping hand to bring it to life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, this is a Kenzie question through and through. She is one of the coolest people you’ll ever meet!

Kenzie says, “We have some of the most amazing local coffee shops in downtown PHX. If I had a friend visiting, we would definitely start our day there. If I had to say one, it would be Dark Hall for a cup of coffee and (assuming the person didn’t know Marcell) bribing him with a slice of vegan cake to show up with his guitar to Tempe Town Lake and serenade us for a bit. Then ending our night by hitting some of the iconic bars in the Melrose district for a night of dancing and fun!”

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Success doesn’t happen in a silo, and though we hope to see more of it soon, we are happy for what we have! Today, we are grateful for our fellow entrepreneurs, those who came before us and inspired us, whether family or friends. In particular, we would like to shout out Drift Studio, with whom we have collaborated on a couple of occasions, and who even brought us into the Shoutout series, as well as Caitlin Audrey Photo, who reminds us to keep the passion in our work alive. They create amazing work!
