We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Beaulieu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“We but mirror the world.” Gandhi What I like about this quote is both the opportunity and responsibility it entails for all of us. When we perceive from the part of our brains that enable empathy, love, gratitude and forgiveness, we have a better chance of creating and influencing our world to mirror those values and qualities! Our perceptions, and thus our feelings and behaviors, become self fulfilling prophecies that are mirrored back to us. I’ve used this as a mantra and call to action in all areas of my life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business started when I chose not to go back to work after giving birth to my son. I decided I didn’t go through a difficult pregnancy and delivery only to work 60 hours a week, often traveling at the drop of a hat. I resigned and three months later my CEO called and asked me to come back as a consultant. That was one of the most momentous decisions of my life. Both being a parent and being self-employed required unbelievable amounts of love, courage and creativity! Both decisions were incredibly scary! Both set me on a path of life-long learning, self-reflection and faith in my ability to adapt and grow. Funny enough, every time I thought about going back to get a “real” job, I’d pick up a few more clients and continue. I never did go back! I work with successful professionals who have reached a point in their work and lives where they want to share their message. That might mean becoming a thought leader, a speaker, or an author. They want to have their voice. They might be unsure of themselves. They might not be clear about their message. They need help with their skills. What they are sure about is they want something more — they want to matter, to make a difference, to share their story. They want to express their creativity and feel purposeful in their work and their life. Here’s what sets me apart from others in my field: As a credentialed coach, a speaker and a trainer, I combine my experience of having stood on stage more than 2,000 times as a speaker and performer for audiences ranging from 10 people to millions live and broadcast, with my professional background in marketing and writing and my training in mental fitness by Positive Intelligence founder and author Shirzad Chamine, to give my clients the ability and tools they need to speak confidently from their authentic voice and become an irresistible force for their cause!  What has served me most is the ability to take risks and have the faith that things will turn out, even when I could not see the outcome. It’s been my ability to deal with uncertainty and be flexible to create new opportunities along the way. I started as a community relations and marketing consultant. I then moved into nonprofit management, book editing and finally professional speaking and coaching. I am an ICF credentialed coach, author, and certified in NLP, life coaching and facilitation. I’ve learned the most important thing anyone can do is to learn how to command their mind to focus their attention. Most of the challenges I’ve feared never materialized! The ones that did required an ability to empathize, be creative and take action. They required me to see things differently. I want the world to know that my deepest purpose is to support my clients to confidently and clearly speak their truth with authenticity and love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First up, we’d visit the Desert Botanical Garden to enjoy the beauty of nature. We’d either eat there at Gertrude’s, or have a lovely dinner at Chelsea’s Kitchen in Phoenix. We’d hike through one of the beautiful desert preserves, or take a trip up north to Sedona to see the Red Rocks. If we wanted to go farther, we’d go to the Grand Canyon. After that, we’d take a day trip to the Hassayampa River Preserve and eat lunch in Wickenburg at Anita’s Cocina Mexican Food restaurant. A trip to Rock Springs Cafe in Black Canyon City to have the best pie ever would be a must as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandmother, Marie Beaulieu, for providing me with an example of how a woman could be independent, self-supporting and loving, and enjoy herself!
