We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenna Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Entrepreneurs must have an extremely high tolerance for risk. Starting and growing and business requires taking risks virtually every day. Some people simply are not cut out for that life and will be miserable. True entrepreneurs experience and tolerate risk differently than others. For me, I attribute where I am today to my risk tolerance. In addition to making the decision to start a business at all, I made some big decisions early on in the business that proved to be a difference maker in the success of my business. I can point to specific, very risky decisions that panned out very well and allowed my business to be where it is today. That does not mean every risk turns out how you envision, and that is the tolerance aspect. Of course I have also taken risks that did not go so well. However, as an entrepreneur I understand and appreciate that as part of the game, so to speak. In those instances, I learn everything I can from that experience. I evaluate why I made the decision to take the risk and why I got it wrong. At the same time, I trust that I made the best decision I could at the time. A high tolerance for risk means not second-guessing yourself and maintaining great confidence in your decision-making.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Bailey Law Firm, if a full-service law firm based in Arizona. Bailey Law Firm promotes innovation to provide best-in-class legal services for our clients and a destination workplace for our team. I set out to be a full-service law firm for consumers. The “big firms” typically represent insurance companies and large corporations which is why they have a variety of practice areas. The “small firms” typically represent people and small businesses but handle only one or two practice areas. We are a full-service law firm for the people. This allows us to utilize the vast knowledge base of our attorneys and staff who handle different practice areas as many aspects of law intersects. This also allows clients to stick with one firm for a variety of legal needs. Our tagline is inspired by innovation because we utilize innovation in every aspect of what we do. This allows the firm to be a great workplace and provide affordable and quality legal services to anyone who needs it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am partial to Ahwatukee which has wonderful local restaurants. My favorites include My Wine Cellar, Smokin Fins, and Hillside Spot. Ahwatukee also has great hiking with several little-known trailheads to access the vast South Maintain trails.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Those closest to risk-takers are forced to live through the ups and downs the high risk that goes along with entrepreneurship. My husband, Tommy, and my parents, Steve and Nancie, deserve credit and recognition for putting up with my high tolerance for risk and supporting my endeavors.
