We had the good fortune of connecting with Pri Hennis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pri, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I am on a mission to create generational well-being in Arizona. As a parent myself, I see the value in creating a healthier world – healthier parents, healthier children. Health is typically split into physical and mental health. Although seemingly disconnected, transforming one impacts the other. I am on a mission to influence the health of our community by addressing the root cause of illnesses.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is set around an educational model where I educate parents about the impact of nutrition on childhood behaviors such as ADHD, anxiety, and even autoimmune disease such as diabetes. I empower parents on how to interpret labs, and how to create systems that work for their children. Combined with laboratory testing, I teach parents the root cause of their behavior and illness so that they can feel empowered and have choices when it comes to the health of their children. This is what sets me apart from others, and teaching parents is what I most passionate about.

Coming to this decision to help parents and their young children has been a windy road for me. I am baffled by the choices we as parents are present when they walk into traditional practices. From my own experience as a mother of toddlers, I am unwilling to accept that medications are the only route to treat an illness if the parent is willing to learn and put the model into practice. Traditional medical doctors do not have the time to teach since our time is limited by a lot of regulations. I want to tell parents that they have the options, and with my experience, I hope to teach them more of what I have learned over the years.

Over the last few years, I have been told that this model will never work. I am biased as I think we all want the best for our children, and we will go the end of the rope to find solutions if any exist. What I want the world to know is that I have come a long way with my own journey; and I am ready to educate you so you don’t have to suffer the same way I did

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite week in the city would always start at Vista Del Camino park in Scottsdale. There is ample space to run around with your kids, as well as a playground for kids. Since we have toddlers, we have a 2-3 hour window of activities during the day. We like to combine going to other parks such as Gilbert Regional. After naptime, we like to head to sea life aquarium or Legoland at Arizona Mills in the afternoon. For special occasions we might eat out at Nami or Cherish Farm Fresh Eatery.

Besides all the hot spots above, I would definitely recommend Camelback mountain, or golf courses in the mornings locally. Even taking a day trip to Canyon Lake or Lake pleasant would be wonderful during the weekdays, although the area gets busy during the weekends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my success to my mother. She was an immigrant and single mother of four – who worked three jobs to put us through graduate school. She is a huge influence in helping me with my well-being. She is a big proponent of making sure I pave the way for others who have shared similar struggles as we had.
