We had the good fortune of connecting with Cory Missall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cory, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The concept was first created by my family when I built a custom Batman costume and wore it to the local Fall festival and it caused adults and kids to all gather around for photo opportunities. We then decided to offer it as a service for parties and events after the owner of the festival hired me to return and provide photo opportunities for the patrons at the farm. People began to call and ask if we has certain characters and when we didn’t, my wife and I would begin to build more costumes. We now offer over 140 different characters and provide services for birthdays, special events, movie premieres, schools, hospitals and more.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We believe that if a child wants to meet their favorite character, they deserve to see the real deal! We hand make most of our costumes and also purchase and modify some as well. There are a lot companies that offer characters for parties but we feel there is more to it than that. We strive to not just look the part, but also provide interactive entertainment in the form of music, games, activities and unbelievable photo opportunities that everyone will remember for a lifetime. Each and every place we visit is treated to a what we would call a ” Million Dollar Broadway Show ” by each and everyone of our performers. Anyone can just show up in a costume and take pictures, we have learned to connect with our customers by bringing joy and happiness to them and their loved ones during whatever important occasion they have planned.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to some of the local farms in the area such as Vertuccio or Tomlachoff Farms. We have visited many of Arizona’s parks and playgrounds as well, no other one stands out as much as McCormick-Stilman Railroad park did for us. They had a real working train ride, beautiful grassy playgrounds and a friendly clean environment as well. I would also visit Level One arcade/bar in downtown Gilbert as well with there huge selection of vintage arcade machines and state of the art pinball machines.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person I would thank the most would be my wife Holly for her constant love and support while also helping with growing the business. I would also like to thank my son Jakob who is also one of our actors, my daughter Katy and friend Jeremy for all his hard work weekend after weekend and show after show. Vertuccio Farms in Gilbert was also the very first place to hire us and has continued to help and support our business.
