Meet Keshia Parker | Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Keshia Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keshia, why did you pursue a creative career?
2016 I decided to walk away from my professional modeling career to pursue creative directing. Creative directing gave me the outlet and control that I was looking for to produce creative and artistic projects the way that I visualize them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
2018 when I started my journey of creative directing I started with a few of my colleagues who asked me to work with them on a music variety show called Technicolor we did 10 episodes featuring local independent artist and featuring bigger artists music on the show and also had live performances that was my first major project as a creative director

I’m most proud of my creative directing career as a whole because it gave me the opportunity to put out the visualizations that I had in my mind to the world to see it’s almost proud of all the projects that I’ve been apart of

I’ve gotten where I am today professionally because I remained who I am with my integrity I’ve continued to build great relationships within my industry and people seem to like my vision so that’s how I’m able to progress in my career so rapidly because I’ve built great relationships over the years and building great relationships will help your career more than what you put out in the project. It wasn’t easy no it didn’t happen overnight but it was well worth the challenges that I did face to get to where I’m at.

The lessons that I’ve learned throughout my creative director and career is to be authentic and to stay within your integrity and push for your ideas.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So one of my friends had visited here I would definitely take them to Taco bourbon they have the best chicken tacos that Arizona can offer. Then we would go down to Roosevelt where they have all the hip shops and we will then head to Scottsdale where we will hang out on rooftops and watch the Sun go down and just enjoy the Arizona nights. We would also visit all the Hot springs around Arizona which is something that I’ve been looking forward to doing since relocating here.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize as a mentor in my life, I call her my fairy Godmother and her name is Coleen’Spann I met her and she completely opened up my eyes to industry that I’m in and help me learn things so I can guide my way through obstacles and she also helped me educate myself on managing my business so I can have successful future endeavors. I’m forever grateful for her taking me in and teaching me the things that I thought I knew and the things that I needed to know in order to navigate my career.
