Meet Angel Virtuoso | Wardrobe Stylist and Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Virtuoso and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel, how does your business help the community?
Archangel Virtuoso Studios is a creative collective that has a few different sides to it at this time. In creating Archangel Virtuoso, I was seeking to emphasize team building and working with more of my community. It has become about helping people’s energy and overall quality of life improve. I am able to teach people ropes in the fashion industry and helping people gain real life industry experience for their resume. On a client scale, I feel like showing someone through the process of cleaning out their closet, to shopping with them, and becoming their mentor on their personal style becomes completely organic. It becomes about learning, viewing personal style about phycology and recreating yourself. It continues to evolve and present more vibrancy in other areas of your life. We produce multimedia fashion shows that provides space for local talent to showcase themselves to a growing and progressive audience both on the limelight side and production side. We operate and teach professionalism, team building, and structure. We also encourage people to grow in the path they develop as their creative eye blossoms. I think for me, Archangel Virtuoso directly impacts the community in a positive way because we are always wanting to create an experience and we hold space for people to be themselves and grow into whoever they want to be through exploring different mediums in the fashion and art communities.
I have taught at a fashion summer camp as a Style Composition teacher, working with youth from ages 3-17 for 2 months this past July and August 2022. I also am developing a masterclass in which I breakdown a plethora of different subjects to expand your view of what goes into having good style and good practices.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I work in the hospitality industry as a Server, but outside of that I spend my time showcasing in various fashion shows, hosting community events, and also attending local networking endeavors to further connect with the fashion/art industry, as well as learning more about business industries in any way possible. I am learning more about my commitment to professional and spiritual growth every day. I have always been in the business of providing others with gaining real life industry experience through experiences that promote growth of their professionalism as well. Developing a team is helping me maintain that standard.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ahhhhhhhh, some of my favorite spots would be Pa’La Downtown Phoenix, Sushiholics in East Camelback, Buck & Rider in East Camelback. I love seafood and chill eats. Let me know some more spots though because I’m a foodie!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have worked with many creatives and organizations in the Phoneix Industry over the last 5 years, but I would like to give a shoutout to Sherri Barry and Angela Johnson of FABRIC, and Ellen Dayan of Tiger Lily Dress Shop, and Sandra Mateau Yotty. I had my first experience working in a fashion show with them in 2017 upon moving here and it changed my level of thinking by giving me an opportunity to experience professionalism. We worked the Brave Wings Fashion Show. This experience stood out because I was the Stylist Assistant to the Stylist [Sandra] to the designer [Ellen], and the energy was very high. That was one of the first times that I felt the pressures of my craft. I got to choose a couple of looks. FABRIC was very supportive.
Over the years I have worked in fashion shows and model rehersals held at Fabric as a Stylist, Style Team member, and Model. I love their institution, and I enjoy that they focus on teaching and providing unlimited space for the community to expand.
