We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexi Lundberg and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lexi, can you tell us what you are most passionate about?
Being an interior designer, my passion is to create beautiful spaces that are meant to be lived in, celebrated in, and together in. The idea of creating spaces that welcome community and conversation. I absolutely LOVE bringing people together and creating spaces to do that in is so much of the heart behind what we do. Our work is so intimate and personal, we always strive to create that kind of relationship with our clients. This way, we can really understand who they are as people and what their needs are in order to create the best possible room or home for them to live in and thrive in as their family grows. It’s truly such a blessing to be able to create for the wonderful clients that we have!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our team is focused on community. We love beautiful spaces, but beautiful spaces that create connection and growth is most important to us. We want our clients to feel heard and known throughout the design process and we want everyone who enters their space to feel the same way! We are super excited about the phases some of our projects are in and can’t wait for our clients to be enjoying them soon. We are also super excited about our new office and warehouse space! We have a bit more room here for inventory and product, and although it is a lot of work to get set up and keep organized it feels so good to be here! With every business decision, goal, dream, idea there are a ton of challenges and learning lessons to be had. We have learned A LOT. A lot about design, a lot about business, and a lot about people. Having friends and family who are willing to listen, pray for, and challenge me has been the best source of encouragement and guidance.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ah! This is a fun question. Fun and planning fun, two of my favorite things to do! The week would consist of a mixture of bike rides through Gilbert (probably to Topo for a burrito or Nico for brunch), exploring with a drive through Salt River Canyon or Oak Creek Canyon, a staycation at The Omni Montelucia and time at the spa (my FAVORITE resort for a massage!), a hair appointment at Hainsworth and Co., breakfast at The Coffee Shop, lunch at Chestnut and dinner at Hillstone, drinks at the Canal Club and shopping at FOUND, The Vintage Arcadia, and Joss and J, ordering-in Thai food and a New Girl marathon. So, lots of eating!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends have been the BIGGEST encouragement of LGD. They say it takes a village to raise a family… it also takes one to run a business. My husband Chris, and our kids (Jackson, Kai, and Noa Grace) have been so supportive. We have spent MANY days as a family organizing inventory, moving furniture, or visiting build sites between soccer games. They have often sacrificed the “fun” for the necessary of what needs to be done, but they are always excited to be a part of it. My in-law’s have been extremely supportive also, helping with special projects and by being such AMAZING grandparents, always willing to watch the kids and help out. My friends and creative community have been a huge support. We are blessed to have them speak into our lives and into LGD time and time again. Toni, Nate, Josh, Lilly, LaNiece, Sarah, Kim, and Tara, THANK YOU for dreaming with me, problem solving with me, encouraging me, challenging me, and supporting LGD over and over and over again!!!! And of course it would be impossible to do anything LGD has accomplished without our team! It is a desire of mine that everyone within our team works within their passions and towards a common goal together, carrying each other’s loads, encouraging each other, and celebrating every win. Toni, April, Ally and Jenna- THANK YOU!
