Meet Christy Campbell | Founder and CEO Fitme Community

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christy, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I think work life balance is kind of a myth. We can spend time at work, and with our families, but if we aren’t present or intentional it isn’t quality time. As a mom of 3 and running my own business I think a lot about how I spend my time. 30 minutes of attention and conversation with my son is better than 3 hours of us sitting next to each other playing on our phones.
I used to believe it was about ending your day at a certain time, or about not blurring boundaries. Now I realize that finding fulfillment in the pursuit of your passion sometimes doesn’t have a clear end of the day. But if you know your priorities and your values and you structure your days accordingly, then you are achieving the life you want. Even if it may not look like someone else’s version of balanced.

What should our readers know about your business?
Fitme isn’t just another nutrition or fitness company. Our unique vision is based on the power of community. We empower people who are still on their own journey to help others. Our coaching method is based off creating consistent, sustainable change…but we make it sticky by using one of the best characteristics about people “helping others.”
I am proud that we are helping women create sustainable weight loss, a new relationship with food and their body and doing it without an overemphasis on the scale or self hate strategies to propel action. We know that women want to take good care of themselves, they just struggle to do it.
What I want the world to know is that you don’t have to wait to feel good. There is no perfect season or perfect time. We have to start taking care of ourselves, NOW…in our real lives. And that struggling in the past with your weight or exercise doesn’t mean you can’t do it. It is never too late.
In Fitme we support so you can thrive.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would 100% take a friend hiking. To me showing a friend nature is the best. We would get early morning coffee and a good breakfast, then hit a hike for the day. We’d finish up at a restaurant that had great drinks and awesome appetizers. Best case scenerio after that would be to find some local live music.
Sharing food, nature, and music with a friend is the absolute best!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate this shoutout to the Fitme Team of and support staff. None of this would be possible without their efforts, commitment to helping others and tireless work at building an alternative to diets and a special community touching thousands of lives.
