Meet Cora Kosel | Massage Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cora Kosel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cora, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
A friend asked me once of I wanted to be a manager of circumstances or a creator of my dreams. That question is something I still refer to many years later. Starting a business isnt easy, it requires a combination of commitment and passion. I wanted to be able to serve people with quality and commitment while still being the bread winner and the breadmaker for my family.

What should our readers know about your business?
This always goes back to education and life experience. Sucess doesnt happen by accident and it certainly doesnt happen over night. Its a combination of passion and perseverance. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to develop my skills and business platform inside the love and support of so many amazing Instructors as well as clients. I started out in the comfort of my small town in Alberta Canada over 13 years ago from there I have taken part in world of training and classes around the globe including places like India, Thailand, and the United States. I believe my exposure to all types of skills is a huge part of what has made my business a success. Some of the biggest hurdles in my business include the immigration process and of course the covid shut down. I took advantage of this unexpected time off by taking classes and finding new opportunities to keep my hands and mind busy. I believe anything is possible and that is what gets me through the tough stuff. I know if I stay consistent and show up for a small group of clients it will eventually become a large group of clients. And it has.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The fact is 100% of our family lives outside Arizona or outside of the USA. When we get visitors they are here all week and definitely want to see the sights. If we time the flights just right a trip from the airport usually goes past Mi Patio mexican resturant on 7th ave in Pheonix. We love the authentic feel, great margs and the friendly service we always get there. We also really enjoy taking everyone on as many good hikes as we can fit into a week. Lost Dutchman stste park, Usery park, Picket post and the Boyce Thompson Arboretum are on top on the list of places to go. We know heading out into these places or anywhere in the Tonto forest deserves a good meal afterwards, we love the international take on sushi that comes from Bloom in Globe. There we can stop off at the Pickle Barrel to do some shopping before heading back home. During a family visit we will often plan a day to do some off road adventures out by Canyon Lake, By the mid-afternoon we will find a well deserved cold one at the saloon in tortilla flats. Outside activities always keep us busy, whether its a paddle down the salt river or a hike into the many mountains parks, our people keep coming back for all the amazing things Arizona has to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Well lifes path is definitely filled with the little arrows that point you towards success. I am always grateful for my education. All of it. I might not have known it at the time but I look back and appreciate some of “tough love” teachers and instructors throughout my life that brought me to this point. I am also really inspired by the powerhouse woman I have surrounded myself with. Hearing the stories of how my friends have made it through adverse times inspires me daily.
