We had the good fortune of connecting with Meghan Corr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Meghan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I could never sit still at a conventional job. I always had so much going on in my head. I wanted to see the world, I knew this was only attainable through starting my own brand.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always had a passion to create. From a young age I noticed when everyone was done taking photos of the sunset I kept going. I was always obsessed with photography and creating content. I found a way to freelance (save up a little money) then travel and spend all of it. I would repeat this process until I was in a stable place to travel full time. Now I have learned the skills necessary to travel full time as a creator.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would call Miami my home-base. Miami is a vibrant city full of culture, nightlife, art, and fashion. I would start the weekend by taking them to a pool party in Miami Beach or Brickell. After freshening up we would go for drinks at a rooftop bar called Sugar. Dinner is a party every night of the week and we would go to a dinner party around 11pm. After that head to LIV or Story to go clubbing. Around 5am we would go to Eleven (the last stop of the night). The next few days would look similar but I would also make pit stops in Wynwood, Design District, ect.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I was always inspired by Lost Leblanc. He is a travel content creator who quit his job in Canada to travel the world with little cameras. He eventually grew a following and started his own brand.
