Meet Adam Maielua | Lifestyle Motivator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Maielua and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adam, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
“Don’t put your eggs in one basket.”

What should our readers know about your business?
On paper I’m an independent contractor providing services to my clients ranging from teaching fitness/yoga classes to managing studios. My purpose is to provide environments where individuals can embrace discomfort in order to see life choices that have been immured behind routine mindsets. My mission is to teach others how to create such environments. I wasn’t born knowing this purpose. Most of my adult life was lost in stereotypical corporate jobs – pharmaceuticals, financial services, etc. I had abundance, wealth, status…but no value, no real purpose. I was lying to myself. I tried to convince myself that I had it all and I was happy. My heart new better.
There’s nothing wrong with any of those jobs. They were merely wrong for me. So, I took a leap of faith. I left it all behind to learn more about what genuinely made me happy. I was always fascinated with health and wellness. I believed it was a lifestyle, not a to-do list. I was pleased to learn I could also make a decent living this way. That happened slowly. I had to keep going where others were quitting. I had to keep learning and willing to make lots of mistakes. I had to leave people behind that could not accept the changes I was embracing. I had to keep trying without fulling understanding the end result. And now…I’m still a happy work in progress.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would eat our way through downtown Phoenix. I’d show them the changes in culture over the last 20 years. We’d attend whatever sporting event was being played. We’d spend a few days in one of the historical outlying cities such as Bisbee. And if they wanted to exercise, we could do that too.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
“The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho It’s a story that should be revisited every few years. Depending on the persons current situation it always presents a different meaning, but always inspiring.
