We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam & Nicole Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam & Nicole, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
One of the most important things we have done as parents is to show our kids that hard work pays off. We have included our children in every aspect of opening our Tifa Chocolate and Gelato. They were with us when we picked the site and went through negotiations, through the construction process and all of the required training that all of our employees went through.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tifa Chocolate and Gelato is something we have poured ourselves into 100%. Adam makes all of our gelato onsite fresh, we do not keep it frozen for months at a time, we make it fresh and use it quickly.

We got here by working hard and adhering to our standards. It was not an easy construction process, but we stayed positive and marched on.

One lesson we learned was to surround yourself with people who you can trust, who have nothing to gain if you fail.

The Tifa brand is a place for families, friends and colleagues to come to have a tasty treat and coffee and sit and enjoy it. We have families that come and play chess or tic tac toe while enjoying their chocolate and gelato. We don’t want you to rush out.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would have to say downtown Gilbert which has a small town feel, but so many places to eat and drink. During the day going out for a hike in our gorgeous desert would be ideal!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our shoutout is to our family and friends who have been with us from day one. They have cheered us on and been there to offer support and encouragement. Without their love and support this process would have been daunting. Since this is our first location here in Arizona we learned a lot of valuable lessons through the process.
