We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexa Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create employment for my self, I used to work in my city ER and I loved it but that job didn’t really worked for me or my family. So that’s when the idea started about the body sculpting businesses. I started to look into it more, watch a ton of YouTube videos, tutorial, testimonials everything you name it… and I was sold! I believe in it first hand and had the treatments done so I could reassure and relate to my future clients. Next thing and the scariest part for future business owner I invested all my savings, took a leap of faith and hoped for the best. I was really excited and I connected that with my potential clients through social media that really helped me when building my clientele.

What should our readers know about your business?
Body Sculpting is a series of treatments that help contour and slim the body without the need of surgery or implants, also is non invasive so is 100% safe when performed by a certified individual. I offer a variety of service like laser facials, cellulite reduction, body contouring and chin reduction among others. Here at Curvy Bella by Alex we help woman not only to better their body but to regain confidence, when I treat my clients I am always sharing healthy tips or gym exercise. The environment must feel very safe but very motivational for them I don’t know if that will make sense but if you walk into a room and the vibe feels good, feels inspiring they will leave the room with a great mindset with a lot of motivation to have better eating choices or following the after care plan which is crucial for the best results.

I got where I am today because I didn’t quit. Perseverance is a great gift and if you have it you will go very far in any business, know what you bring to the table stick to your policies and let the right clientele stick around that will give you a firm foundation that will keep you up float for a long time. Yes I believe the hardest part is sticking to your policies if I am being real about the business world, you will loose clients when enforcing policies and makes you feel terrible but you need to respect your business as well and that will give you the strength that not everybody has for business. That will leave you with the right clientele and if your doing a good job you will go through every challenge.

Every day when I go to my work I meet new people, that makes me really happy because we get to know each other everyday and you kinda see life in different perspectives and that is a lesson it self. I want the world to know that nothing is impossible the world is literally whin your hands take that leap of faith. Start the business, the family, the job etc. Change is necessary to advance in life and make progress don’t be scare of change. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Yuma, Arizona is a small city with a lot to offer. First of all we could go to 8TH street to eat Mexican food they have a lot of food trucks there, we could also go to Mexico since is like 15min away. For drinks visiting a local coffee shop and for drinks to downtown is always a good idea they have a lot of local beer and great drinks. If your visiting you need to go to west wetlands park is really nice for kids or just for a walk very peaceful.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I had the support of all my family and close friends, if they needed to be my models or just sharing my business on their social media, following me on my business page when I first started that was exactly what I needed like a boost of confidence we all need that when starting something. And last but not least to my clients because without them I wouldn’t be here, they have trusted me thorough the years and I am beyond thankful for that.
