Meet Alexandre Orr | Creative Director & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandre Orr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandre, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to do things my way. Create my own lane. My family is full of engineers and medical professionals who are tasked with understanding the fundamental structure of something in their respective professions. I wanted my profession to be understanding the fundamental structure of clothing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think what sets my brand apart is that we focus on creating memorable experiences for people. I’m most proud of the flash mob runway show collection we presented during First Friday in February. I got to this point professionally, I think, by allowing myself to always be inspired. It’s not easy and I have a lot farther to go in my career. A lot of challenges or set backs are just doors closing allowing others to open, so having that mindset really helps me to stay positive and take that next step rather than dwell on the problem when faced with adversity. I want the world to know that everyone is welcome to join the ALEXANDRE collective and create their own memories in clothing we make.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d go to Brunch & Sip and hike camelback mountain.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Angela Johnson and everyone at FABRIC Incubator. I learned a lot about business and apparel manufacturing. They gave me my first job in Arizona and helped me transition to a path of success.
