Meet Alicia Navarro | Creative Beauty 2U

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alicia Navarro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alicia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business for several reasons. First and foremost I am passionate about helping others. Sharing products that fit into my brand will do just that. They are selected to make others feel beautiful inside and out. The goal is to inspire others to create beauty in themselves. We are all beautiful, sometimes we just need to dig deep and be creative to pull it out of ourselves. A bonus reason is for the future. Eventually I will retire from my day job, but would love to continue working in a smaller capacity.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always given 100% to anything God has put in my path, from motherhood, to going back to school for my masters degree, my career as a Procurement Manager at a senior housing management company, managing rental properties after my parents passed, and now in creating my own brand. It has been a challenging road but I have loved every minute. I was a mom at age 17, way before I had my life planned out. But with strength, perseverance, lots of help from family and friends, I have powered through. There has always been a force driving me, I get an overwhelming feeling to do something and I do it. When I was 9 months old I was in a horrible car accident with my parents and my older sister, this was before we had to be in a carseat. I had a subdural hematoma and thankfully and off duty firefighter helped save my life. As I got older I felt that God saved me for a reason, and I needed to live up to whatever that was. Hence my continued drive.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting I would start by enjoying a meal outside on our deck, staring at the mountains, and enjoying a conversation to catch up where we left off. From there we would go wherever the day took us. Maybe a girls spa day, or trying on fancy dresses at the store, and possibly even catching a funny movie we could both laugh at. We would definitely eat at some local restaurants and stop by Lick’s Ice Cream for dessert – best homemade ice cream around.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my husband for always supporting me. No matter what it is, he is right there to cheer me on. There are also wonderful family and friends that tag along with me for all of it.
