We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Alyssa Moulder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber Alyssa, how do you think about risk?
Good or bad, I have always been a big risker taker. For example, after graduating college in the Midwest, I packed up all my belongings in my used four-door sedan and moved myself to Arizona. I only knew one person in the whole state. However, I also knew I wanted to live in a warm climate and figured I would find a job once I reached Phoenix. Starting a business can also be considered very risky. Personally, I feel that it’s easy to face risk when you follow your passion and with this new business, I am doing just that!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a Spiritual Coach, I am not sure there’s a specific category that this line of work falls under. Overall, I aim to empower your confidence and encourage you to advance in all areas of your life. Do you need to heal from a past situation, focus on another area of your life, or look at a situation from a different point of view? In any case, I am here to help you in becoming the best version of YOU!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are many places that I love to visit within Arizona. However, if a best friend were visiting, I would take them to one of my all time favorite spots, Sedona. Personally, I find as you wind in to town, the beautiful red rock and sacred lands are absolutely breathtaking. This area continually makes me feel happy, peaceful, and grounded.
My friend and I would hike around the red rocks in hopes of finding different vortexes. Vortexes are places where the earth seems or feels more alive with energy. These swirling centers of energy are also conducive to healing, meditation and self-exploration. Another peacefully area to visit would be the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park. At this outdoor venue we would find an spot to relax for prayer, meditation, and spiritual renewal.
Once we were done with the various outdoor spots, we would find a great place to eat. One of my favorites when visiting is a quick stop at Memories Bakery Café. Some say it’s one of the best kept secrets in Sedona. After we finished lunch, a walk through the downtown shops would be a must. I am always on the lookout for amazing crystals to add to my growing collection. Of course jeep rides or renting ATV’s are also a fun option, time permitting. There are many fabulous restaurants for dinner and hotels or home rentals for overnight stays before heading back south towards the capital city.
As we wind our way back to the Phoenix area, we would have to stop at another topic pick, Jerome AZ. The beautiful rolling black hills remind me of my childhood residence. We would stop at some of the local wineries and catch a ghost tour while enjoying our time in this small scenic town. If we’re lucky we might even catch a food truck for lunch and eat on the steps in the middle of town. As my son once said “there’s nothing better than a food truck”.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My large and loving family deserves all the recognition in helping me and encouraging me with this new business. I have many different family members with different skills sets and strengths which I have been able to lean on for assistance. Without their love and support I likely would not have been as confident with my decision in starting this new adventure.
