We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Farooqui and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I believe I have really good work life balance now. Since my business has evolved, I have been able to bring it to a place where I can now work when I want from wherever I want. Of course I do still have a long way to go to get to where I want to be and to reach complete freedom. But, I do believe that since I worked really hard the past 3-4 years on building a personal brand, growing my social media presence, and immersing myself into opportunities, I have now been able to create a life with a lot more freedom than I had before. Work life balance is so important and being able to enjoy working is what I always dreamt now. Now as I work, it doesn’t feel like a job to me. I genuinely enjoy it and want to do because I love what I do and I have intermixed my life with my business. So literally sharing my life helps my business grow, especially on social media.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Sisterhood Community is a community I have built for women who dream BIG! It is a community with mentorship, events, annual conferences, masterminds, and more. What sets us apart from other communities is multiple things. 1. We are a women’s community, so all our events and programs are women based, which is very hard to find in this male dominate world. We aren’t just women based, but empowered based. So we have women who are truly empowering, rooting other members on, and supportive. It is all about collaboration and NOT competition. This is unlike any other women group out there. This is a movement that women who want to win can join and win together, because women are not meant to do business or life alone.

I am super excited about the 3rd annual sisterhood conference which will be happening in 2024. This year we sold out with over 100+ women from all over the country, which we doubled in everything since year 1. So we are growing fast and I am super proud and excited to see how next year goes.

I started the Sisterhood Community for selfish reasons, because I was lacking community, especially female connection. I wanted that and I knew if I wanted it, there had to be other women who also were craving that. So in a male dominated world, I wanted to create a female community that dominates as well.
