Meet Amber Lohrman | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Lohrman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always loved create things for gifts and for fun. My friend opened a store and asked me to be a vendor. From there, it has evolved into having my DIY creative studio.
I have two small children and starting my own business was something I could work around their schedule and a place where I could go for time for myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Over the years, I helped with workshops at Eclectic Avenue. Then the pandemic happened. I was pregnant with our second baby and decided to try DIY Kits. I would deliver during our daughters nap time or customers would pick up their kits on my front porch. After a year of DIY Kits, people were asking for workshops and parties again. This lead me to looking for a studio space to rent!
Starting my own small business I quickly learned I had to ask for help. This included assistance with business setup, website design and remodeling the rental space to create a customer friendly studio that will function for workshops and parties.
All the hard work paid off by having an amazing, calm space for you to work on your creative project. It’s been fun having friends bring their friends and family to get lost in the creativity. Plus, the mess won’t follow you home, just your cute project waiting to be showcased at home!
