We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Wojciak and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is so wrapped up in passion for me that it’s hard to label it as such. Career risks that I’ve taken have felt so driven by compulsion to do what I love that sometimes it feels like someone else is in the driver seat. I’m grateful for that spark that has kept me going and pushed me along. Especially in times where that inner critic wants to take over.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My design business is still such a happy surprise to me. I set out to do something that I love and enjoy and I just thought it would be this fun side hustle. I never thought I’d be making money and working full time and designing restaurants. It really is so surreal!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Bestie is in town the first thing we’re going to do is hike the constellation trail in Prescott and soak up some Fall sunshine. We’ll probably end up with drinks on the patio at Barley Hound so we can catch up on life and maybe pet a few dogs while we’re there. Once your downtown there are so many fun options! We’ll walk to Clothes Hound for some retail therapy and stroll the square and (pet more dogs). I’d definitely have to give them a tour of my new office which is just off the square and also just a few shops away from Modern Day Forager, their Peppered Oatmeal Chocolate Cookie is the best!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dear friend Amy Maneely has been such a huge motivator for me. Probably more than she knows. She’s one of the first people who recognized my gift for design and noticed how much it lit me up. I think she knew before I did. We both have 4 kids and she was also moving on from being a full time mom to a career in real estate and that felt like such a great road map for putting myself out there and trying out all the possibilities.
