Meet Angelika Kaprelian | Founder of Desserts all have been waiting for

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angelika Kaprelian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelika, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Love Love Sweets didn’t start as just an idea I had for a business, no, it started as my indulgent without guilt. I could not find desserts that were delicious, nutritious, light in calories and with clean ingredients. So, I started to experiment and make different types of unprocessed and plant-based desserts.

As I created my desserts and shared them with others, I noticed something amazing about each person who tried them… They all had HUGE smiles on their faces.  At that moment I realized that I began to walk in my purpose. My sweets were making people happy and the joy I felt every time I see their smiles cannot be put into words. Now, every day I’m motivated by the smiles I receive from my customers and especially when I see people try my desserts for the very first time!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My desserts are my way of sharing, creating, and continuing to walk my purpose of bringing joy to others! That’s how I came up with the name Love Love Sweets. The double love means Love yourself and Love what you eat! Whether you want a birthday cake, wedding cake, or just a sweet treat for your cravings, Love Love Sweets is here to serve you with truly delicious and nutritious desserts! I truly believe that being healthy starts with what you put into your body and if you properly nourish yourself then your body will love you back! Today, there is a clear lack of offerings for pure, delicious, nutritious and easy digestible desserts on the market. I’ve created a healthy alternative dessert to expand the traditional desserts category by making indulgence more enjoyable. It makes Love Love Sweets unique and different. My cakes are unprocessed (not baked or dehydrated) and plant-based. Sweets made with organic and raw ingredients. We use only fresh fruits, seeds, coconut products, maple syrup. Most consumers do not believe that a dessert can taste good and still provide all the vital nutrients to your body. But when they try Love Love Sweets, they change their perception.

I created a great taste with simple recipes and clean ingredients without gluten, grains, nuts, refined sugar, soy or any preserves. All cakes have 12 months shelf life in freezer. The best thing is that you can refreeze them anytime or can be refrigerated for 7 days. You can enjoy Love Love Sweets frozen as an ice cream cake or as a traditional cake after thaw. It’s two-in-one!

Its very difficult to get sweets in retail and food services. The industry isn’t open to try a new, unique and the only one clean sweets. I apllied to Sprout 3 times and was rejected. I applied to Whole Foods and never heard from them. I’m very lucky to have access to my cunsumers via farmers markets. I belive that when you do what you love and offer something unique, it eventually will grow and be even more succesfull.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m so greatfull to live in the best place in the world Arizona! Our nature is so unique and beautiful. There are hudreds of hikes to expolre. We have desert, we have lakes, we have forest and even ski. Getting in tune with nature is the best sport!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My customers! Love Love Sweets is just other kind of desserts for everyone! It doesn’t matter if your family members have allergies or food preferences, everyone can eat our sweets. I didn’t want to exclude the people who want to celebrate a birthday, wedding, or special occasion without having to either try to make it themselves or substitute for something that really didn’t give them the experience they were looking for. My desserts stand out and be something all sweets lovers could be proud of! When people take a bite of my creation they may not know the story behind it, but I hope they can feel my heart. When people try Love Love Sweets they are coming back again and again. They are the main reasn of my success and grow.
