We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonio Agosto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Antonio, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew the from start that starting my own business was going to happen at some point. Everything I was doing at the time was leading up to it and the different pieces that was placed around me only made the path more clear. My thoughts were clear as ever and once I made the decision, I just needed to include my business partner in it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I always thought it was weird to talk about myself because I was never one to praise what I did, I always thought this is what we do, we strive for greatness, we build a legacy for ourselves and mind our business. But then I realize, that’s not what we do as storytellers. I am in the people watching industry, the digital marketing industry and the entertainment industry. My career focused strictly on producing creative media content for brands, telling cinematic stories for their audience and directing motion pictures of all sorts for different types of clientele.

I am a proud creative director, film editor, photographer, musician, cinematographer, graphic designer, streamer, author, music producer, film producer, gaffer, key grip and more. I wear many hats to help build music artist, businesses, non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs. The main thing that sets me apart from others like myself, is myself. There is no one out there in the world like me who has the same love and vision for everything they touch. I am proud to be gifted these talents from Him, proud to make my family proud and proud to have a circle of individuals with like-minded emotions that continue to motivate and inspire me.

Professionally, I was stumbled up on this from my family but because of my Mamba Mentality mindset built from a young age, I always knew that the path I would take will be greater than the path my family has shown. My greatest challenge was kickstarting the business and building the brand, but the only way I was able to overcome each challenge was taking it on step at a time.

The only thing I would want the world to know about me is that I am authentic, truthful, confident and passionate about my family, my friends and career.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To my best friend that’s visiting, today will be the best day you will experience because once I pick you up, we are going to enjoy an early morning walk up Makapu’u Lighthouse trail to experience a Hawaiian sunrise. Once we make it back to our car, we are going to get breakfast a hole-in-the-wall spot called “Button’s Up Cafe” in Pearl City, Hawaii – this is the home to the best brisket Loco Moco and will definitely be the greatest to start with.

In the afternoon, we’ll head back to my place for an afternoon nap before hitting the road again towards East O’ahu. We shall trek our way through view points and visit sites in town like Kaka’ako, Magic Island and Roundtop Drive (Tantulus) before stopping at our local Foodland Farms to pick up some Spicy Ahi Poke and a couple Spam Musubi.

As we drive east through Waimanalo and Kailua, we take a quick stop at the world famous Lanikai Beach. As you put your feet in the crystal clear waters while looking at the Mokulua Islands, we take a quick bite of our snacks before going to North Shore. Here, we jump back in the car and head to the pride of the North Shore, Kahuku. This is where we are greeted by communities of Haleiwa, Kahuku, Mokuleia, Pupukea, Waialua, and Waimea Bay.

Our first stop in the North Shore of Hawaii is the infamous Moku Islands Lookout where we see the stunning view of East Oahu. From here, we head to Fumi’s Shrimp Truck to get the world famous Garlic Shrimp plate lunch. Then, drive head to the top of Pupukea at Pu’u o Mahuka Heiau where we get the stunning view of Waimea Bay to Mokuleia.

Upon driving back towards the Kamehameha Highway, we stop at a nearby 7-Eleven to pick up more snacks before driving to West towards Yokohama. As we make our way through Kapolei, Nanakuli, Maili, Waianae and Makaha, we finish the day off by watching sunset at Yokohama on the West of O’ahu. Here we will enjoy the beauty beach while the sun sets upon the Horizon.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to Sherwin Acidera, my business partner and dear friend. He deserves a little credit and recognition in my story.
