We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Angelo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bianca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had always wanted to “do something” in regards to my owning my own business! I talked about opening a coffee stand for a few years! And it was just a dream! Until along came Covid! After working in healthcare for 12 years I was burnt out and no longer happy with what I was doing. I started taking as many free classes as I could! Soaking up all and any knowledge pertaining to business ownership.


Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a small drive thru coffee stand. I do not have any employees and run the stand completely myself! What sets me apart from other stands is my family like customer service! I remember your name and being small and involved in everything is what makes me unique! I’m just now opening and what challenges have I not had to overcome! Everything that could possibly go wrong has! But I never gave up and kept pushing forward! I have learned a lot of lessons along the way, and that’s why I feel like I have learned so much. I want the world to know my brand Spruce Top Coffee Shop is for family. My logo is four trees one for each of my family! Myself, my husband, and our two girls! Being able to show my girls you can do anything you set your mind to, has been my biggest accomplishment! I don’t have a background in coffee and was in the medical field for twelve years! My story is if you can dream you can do it! Sometimes you just have to make the leap!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout to my friends and family for supporting me through this crazy journey of opening my own business and being there for every up and down! Also my awesome coffee roaster Dillanos Coffee Roasters especially Kendra for all her help and advice! I couldn’t have done this without them!
