Meet Billy Guan | Financial Coach and Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Billy Guan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Billy, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business impacts the communities by helping individuals within the community get financially empowered to get out of debt, build savings, invest properly, create tax free generational wealth with Asset protection strategies.
My team helped thousands of people improve their relationship with money which in turn allowed for their interpersonal relationships to flourish even more because the subject of money no longer soured their love for each other.
It has been very rewarding to see clients cross the stage during our conferences and share their testimonials about how they were able to climb out of the financial hole they were in because they were working together with us to elevate themselves financially.
We are always looking to impact more people that are needing our help to get their finances right!

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a Financial Coaching and Consulting practice. I am extremely proud of being able to help people from all age ranges from all professional backgrounds. Getting to this level was definitely not easy. There were a lot of pivoting and life changes that led me to the Financial Services industry.
I used to be an entertainer that performed variety shows as a Magician. So to transition from entertainment to sales, was definitely a big change. However, a lot of the skill sets that I developed through being a magician were very easily translatable because people skills are one of the most important things in any sales business.
I transitioned into working into Real Estate while I was getting started with my Financial Coaching business. I learned a lot in the Real estate industry as well so I am very well versed in understanding what Realtors go through and what clients need when it comes time to get their finances and investments in order.
As I dove deeper into working with Finances, my background in entertainment and sales allowed for me to connect with people from all walks of life, and because of that I have an understanding of a lot of client needs from different professional backgrounds. Because of this experience, I hold myself to a higher fiduciary standard than most Financial Professionals. I have clients that work in the Music Industry, Film and Entertainment, Social Media, Models, Real Estate, and everywhere in between. Clients can come to me for help with changing their entire financial philosophy. A lot of times clients are coming into new money due to becoming successful on their social media presence; I have a team of Tax Advisors, Credit Advisors, Mortgage and Real Estate Advisors, and an Estate Planning Attorney that work together to help clients understand what they need to do with their finances so that they do not end up ruining their finances.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m still very new to the area, but I had a really good time in Scottsdale! I’m still out here exploring myself! So I would take my friend out to try out any interesting bars or food places that we come across. I am very open minded when it comes to food!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank a list of people that have highly impacted me throughout my journey into entrepreneurship. My first mentor was my JROTC instructor back in high school, Sergeant Collier. He instilled in me the discipline and consistency needed to see any task through. Thankful for my business mentor and one of my best friends, Adrian, for shaping my mindset on business building and giving me the opportunity to become a Financial Coach. He was the first person that taught me anything regarding finances as a broke kid out of college.
I am also really grateful to have Jason and Sarah give me an opportunity to learn and grow by learning the ins and outs of the Financial Industry. As well as Joel and Jem for teaching me ancillary strategies to help more individuals with their finances.
From the bottom of my heart. Thank you Sarge, Adrian, Jason, Sarah, Joel and Jem!
