Hi Bonny, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Well, there are a few valuable lessons the business has taught me. One being that you need to do the most you can with whatever little you have until you can afford qualified people for the job, meaning one needs to have the willingness to learn how to operate all departments of their business in the very beginning, not only due to lack of finances but it also prepares you to knowing exactly what each position entails so when your business in financially ready to add a qualified person/people for the position you know exactly what is expected of them.

Lastly, you need to be your own biggest support system because people don’t believe in your vision until they see financial benefits of your work. Which is quite sad, because we all know how financial independents happens differently for all businesses, it could take 4 years for one business while it takes the other 20 years of putting in the work with no financial rewards. So chase your vision! Relentlessly and with audacity, live it and dream and know that all the time spent in perfecting your craft will pay of in the end.

Glitz Magazine is a quarter-month magazine that focuses on entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, and telling inspirational stories of young people who have made their dreams possible against all odds and are determined in making differences within their communities.

Glitz was founded from a vision of creating equal opportunities for models of all shapes, sizes and skin tones. While shedding light on issues affecting our communities such as teenage pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse,etc we also focus on mental health awareness and creating a space for various creatives and businesses across the world. We believe in changing the world one story at a time!

This year makes a decade in the industry, our journey hasn’t been the easiest however with the support from our team members has made this an extraordinary experience filled with wisdom, support and lessons and we hope to have an even bigger celebration for our 20th anniversary. Plus we have collaborated with an alcohol beverage brand to celebrate our 10th year anniversary and will be giving away some really great prizes, keep your eyes locked on our website to find out more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my recommended places to visit include :

1. Fairmont Scottsdale Princess would be my go to place for accommodation, not only for their beautiful break-taking views and exceptional service. This luxury hotel has a one in a million bespoke experience which is why i would recommend anybody planning to visit to add Fairmont Scottsdale Princess as their hotel destination.

2.Breakfast Club, listen when i tell you that, you need to experience this place to understand what the hype is about my favourite food on their menu has to be the MUSHROOM TOAST & EGGS. You can never go wrong with that!

3. UnderTow is always a great spot for catching up while sipping on delectable cocktails.

4. The COMPASS Restaurant is chefs kiss, from the food to the ambiance it’s definitely a place i would dress up to for an evening of fine dining.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly am honored to be having this interview with the shout out team. So many people have been part of my success story, the first being my mother who has always been my cheerleader, my source of strength, my confidante and my advisor without her, none of what i do would be possible. My models, Fatima Ngwenya, Mahlohonolo Tlhaka and Dikeledi Tlhaka these ladies know just how much time, sweat and tears we have been putting in over the past decade and they still carry the brand with so much dignity and pride.
