Meet Cachia Cherise | Author, International Speaker, and Certified Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cachia Cherise and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cachia, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m originally from the west side of Chicago, IL. My childhood was filled with community images of drugs, homelessness, murders, hopelessness, and lack of jobs and resources. I grew up internally knowing that I wanted to be different and that my actions would have to reflect that. So, I carried this mentality into my home life, school, and entrepreneurship. Growing up I was exposed to working hard and doing what you have to do to make it happen. I have fond memories of being at the “Taste of Chicago” in the 80’s selling beverages and snacks alongside my parents and siblings as we recited the items and the cost: this and other experiences instilled in me a drive to see it through. My background and upbringing impacted the person I am today through the display of perseverance tenacity, determination, courage, endurance, love, and commitment which can be seen in everything I do.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brand is built on all my unique experiences and how I have the courage to speak my truth. I’m most proud of how far I have come from where I started. From the beginning, it was hard to speak my truth because I felt embarrassed and ashamed about the decisions I had made in my life. It was like I was bound and tormented daily feeling like I was caged in a lie as I lived my life day by day. Through a lot of self-reflection, therapy, and spiritual healing I have been able to become a person who is proud to speak my truth in hopes of helping others. I want to let the world know that my story will change lives because of the authentic way that I express what I have been and come through.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
These are fun places that I would take my best friend while they were visiting:

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my mom and dad because they provided an array of experiences to shape me into the person I am today.
