We had the good fortune of connecting with Candy Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candy, how does your business help the community?
My independent fashion brand TechNoirCandy is creating sustainably made clothing for the Transcendent Human, comprised of premium vegan based materials, globally certified fabrics, waterless direct to garment print technology and always handmade ethically and responsibly.

TechNoirCandy garments are beyond comfortable created with athletes, futurists, music lovers and yogis in mind. Each graphic is constructed digitally by way of collage and mixed media.

The content I produce are glitch neobeatnik psychedelic vignettes of cyber noir, quantum physics theories and spacepunk drama.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Candy Scott aka TechNoirCandy, I am a multidisciplinary artist who creates & designs futuristic clothing, multimedia video animations and content. My graphics are a sum alchemical combination work rooted in photography and other raw tangible materials in order to create digital glitch art with metaphysical, cyber noir and Spacepunk aesthetics that tell contemporary stories about society’s anxieties on edge of change and transcendence. Through my mixed media creations I explore how technology can adapt us into something new – or maybe just reconfigure our existing selves forever.

My aim as a creative has been inspired by the belief that technology is aiding humanity into exaltation and transcendence. We live in a world programmed to induce anxiety breaking down our inner bloom of consciousness. The quantum waves flow and flow, every current of energy is an electrical charge of opportunity to flip the holographic reality we live in on its head for transcendence of the human species. Through transcendence we are better equipped to effect the lifelines of the entire planet including flora and fauna.

My mission as an artist is to create paths for remembering; that will hopefully guide those who are finding their way through time and space – because there’s no other place than now!

My brand focuses on creating highly wearable art with futurism aesthetics. I am committed to using sustainable fashion practices for my brand TechNoirCandy including premium vegan based materials, waterless Direct to Garment digital print technology, with a growing collection of OEKO-TEX certified swimwear pieces. All clothing is body loving and created responsibly and ethically with longevity of the garment in mind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One place I would definitely take my out of town bestie would be to Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale, Arizona it is a wonder to behold. The garden is beautiful and more chances than not the butterflies land on you.

The Phoenix Metro area is a foodie destination there are many places for great cuisine and an amazing night out depending on the vibe you are going for. Toca Madera is a super sweet for dinner before a girls night out, but I also love Geisha a Go Go you can rent a room for the funnest private karaoke and sushi experience.

There are so many beautiful places to hike that aren’t crowded and Scorpion Gulch on South Mountain is a beautiful location for pictures. I am a CenPho girl at heart and there are so many places to head to around, it is a feat to decide where you would go for dinner but I am going to say Taco Guild in the Old School Plaza on 7th & Osborn in Phoenix, the restaurant was built into what was once a church the vibes are awesome, the interior is incredibly gorgeous and the food and drinks are off the hook.

The Van Buren in downtown Phoenix is my favorite venue for music concerts, if luck would have it a band would be gracing our city and playing at the Van Buren wherein my out of town bestie and I would attend, mezzanine seats for sure.

There are too many places to name for ice cream, but one place immediately comes to mind and that is Novel on Grand Avenue they serve these delicious lavender honey ice cream stuffed donuts.

For fun and shopping I would take my friend to Fantasia Crystals on 7th St and Camelback Rd, the coolest staff and if you are into metaphysical curiosities, tarot or crystals a great place to explore.
