We had the good fortune of connecting with Carly Vehrs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carly, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be more about the mission I feel I have. My goal is not for people to remember me, but to remember what I have taught them. I want my clients or anyone I share information with to take that and use it to maintain overall health and wellness in their mental and physical body. I am authentic with my intentions of educating and teaching health and wellness techniques and I share with the purpose of creating a healthier lifestyle for those around me. If people do remember me, I want them to remember that I had their best interest in mind.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have a personal training business. My mission is to educate my clients and those interested in learning about the impact of exercise on overall health and wellness. My passion is improving functional movement, quality of life, and confidence in all aspects of life. Starting this business was not easy, in fact I grow and learn every single day. I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary and I cannot be more proud of myself and excited to see where this company advances. I have learned organization, integrity, demand in the community, as well as the real struggles and questions people have that may seem taboo. I want the world to know that I have the same knowledge as a lot of people, but what I have that sets me apart is a mission driven heart. I have your best interest in mind and I will always be looking to guide you to your goals safely and efficiently.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite tour itinerary is as follows: – Salt River Tubing
– Skydive Buckeye
– Santo Coyote Mexican Cuisine
– Encanto Park
– Papago Park
– Camelback Mountain (A right of passage!)
– Erics Family BBQ

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout Coach Brian Rupp. Coach Rupp was one of the most influential characters in my story as he fueled my passion of teaching and influencing positive behavior. Coach Rupp is someone that will never stop learning, he has motivated me to follow in those steps and has rubbed the passion of adapting to changes in my environment with the goal of being his best self and shaping great people. Thank you Rupp, you are a wonderful coach, father, teacher, and mentor – I cannot imagine where I would be without you.
