We had the good fortune of connecting with Casie Allan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Casie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea for The Er Fitness Method started in the middle of Covid when my family and I were on an extended vacation in Mexico. Life was so weird and things had changed so much in just a matter of a few months. I had recently received another fitness certification for a group fitness class at my local gym, but with the gym closed and classes canceled, I started creating my own workouts at home and on vacation. I actually loved working out at my own convenience and I was inspired to move differently and create something truly unique and effective. I realized that working out was more fun and easier to stick with when I had a program that I could do on my own schedule and pace. I loved the flexibility of being able to workout when and where I wanted and loved that I didn’t have the pressure of sticking to a gym schedule. Plus, when I was traveling, I loved that I could remain consistent with my workouts and feel great no matter where I was or what I was doing. Fitness has always been a passion of mine, and I honestly thought…why not? I have a gift to share with other women and I’m going to go for it!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Er Fitness Method is truly a labor of love. I have poured my blood, sweat and tears into creating this program and love that I get to help other women fall in love with fitness and find confidence in their bodies.

The Er Method is an at-home fitness program and app that was created to help women get leaner, stronger and healthier in less time and in the comfort of their own homes. After having my kids, I realized how much I needed time for myself. For me, exercise was that time and I realized how important a daily fitness routine was in my life. With today’s hectic schedules and commitments, I wanted to help busy women find time for themselves through daily movement that would inspire them and help them lead healthier, happier lives.

My workouts are all 25-35 minutes in length and are pre-recorded so that you can truly workout whenever and wherever you want. My workouts are different in that we focus on barre-style training combined with cardio, strength and mobility work that will change the way your muscles look and feel. Using only light hand and ankle weights, my workouts move through functional training combinations that create long, lean muscles throughout the body while also improving posture, flexibility, balance and overall strength and endurance.

My workouts are choreographed to amazing music and are personally coached by me! They are fun, effective and efficient. I have over 100 unique workouts for all levels of fitness and add new workouts each month. I also offer weekly workout schedules and a recipe portal filled with healthy, real food. My app is super easy to use and enables busy women to prioritize their health and fitness without sacrificing their other commitments.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My family and I moved to Utah about 5 years ago from San Diego. It was a huge change, but one that we couldn’t be happier about! We love the beauty of the vast landscape in Utah. There are endless activities to do, no matter what season, and it’s truly one of the most stunning places on earth.

I love that we are nestled in the mountains but still a short drive to the city. I am a sucker for an amazing dinner and vibe and LOVE The Lodge at Blue Sky and their restaurant, Yuta. It’s the perfect escape in the middle of nature, with the most stunning views. Their food is amazing and the drinks are to die for!

If you visit Utah in the summer and are up for adventure, you have to try mountain biking! It’s my favorite activity and we have to most amazing trails in Northern Utah. My favorite ride is Sardine Peak at Snow Basin Resort. Follow that up with a dinner at Tona Sushi in Ogden and your day will be complete!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely owe a huge shout out to my husband. He is a successful entrepreneur and my biggest cheerleader. He has inspired me to be bold and take risks and has always believed in me, even when I’ve doubted myself.

I also owe my dad a shout out for seeing things in me that no one else did, not even me. He was also a business owner and entrepreneur and always said that I could do anything that I set my mind to. He is my angel now and I miss him dearly, but I know he is so proud of what I have accomplished.

Lastly, I owe a lot to my 2 kids who have been super supportive of me throughout starting and growing my business. They have been both inspiring and understanding and have always cheered me on!
