We had the good fortune of connecting with Chase Sossamon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chase, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For years I tried searching for the right word to describe how a successful entrepreneur navigates the gray areas of business ownership. One day I was listening to a podcast on business and the speaker identified the word I had been looking for….. that being Prudence! Prudence describes the ability of an individual to make the right decisions when no clear decision is evident. When do I expand? When do I Increase My supply chain? When do I hire? When do I let go? None of these decisions are black and white. Prudence is the ability of the entrepreneur to extract the blacks and the whites from the grays. Where do I believe prudence comes from? For me, I believe prudence comes from the acquisition of wisdom of which comes from a personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Daily I pray for wisdom. Daily I seek wisdom. It is this wisdom, which I believe lends me prudence and success in my business practice.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Lifeguard Anesthesia is Arizona’s premier mobile dental and office based anesthesia solution. Our team is comprised of 100% Nurse Anesthesiologists. Our approach to serving the Arizona dental and office based space is “vigilance over relationship, and relationship over money.” You can’t be in the business of people and be money focused. As a healthcare provider, and especially as an anesthesia service, caring for and be vigilant with your patients has to be the top priority. Once vigilance has been established, our brand is to focus on building relationships with our offices in which we become a team, and look for ways to go above and beyond in humility and service. I believe our anesthesia service is unique in that we provide a brand that looks, feels, and performs with absolute consistency. I always describe our user-friendliness as the “Apple” of healthcare. As the founder of Lifeguard Anesthesia my goal was to never provide only a warm body to an office, rather, it was to provide a consistent approach to anesthesia care that focused on vigilance and humility. I call this sense of service and humility the “Jesus Factor”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was to visit, I believe I would have to take them to Buck and Rider for the best oysters and lemon pie in the valley! Of course I wouldn’t start the drive to Buck and Rider without stopping by Black Rock for a Large Organic Sweet Pea Fuel! After leaving Buck and Rider I would consider stopping by the Scottsdale Quarter for one of the Best Oat-milk Lattes I have ever had thanks to True-food! Other good finds I would recommend would be downtown Chandler, Downtown Gilbert, and of course Agritopia!
