Meet Christian Huskins, C.Ht | Certified Hypnotherapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Huskins, C.Ht and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Being a wife, mom of 6 children, and a business owner the value that matters most to me is Integrity. For both my personal life and as a Hypnotherapist, Integrity is essential as it builds trust, respect, credibility and accountability.
As a mom, Integrity is crucial as I am their role model and need to ensure I am leading as a positive example. When I was a child I was raised with judgement, being criticized, felt less than like I could never do anything right, and I made a choice to raise my children differently. My children trust me and know that I am always truthful, reliable, consistent, fair and always provide a safe space to confide in me.
As a wife, Integrity is the foundation to my marriage. It is very important to have trust, mutual respect, open communication and consistency within the relationship with my husband. Having respect and open communication allows my husband and I to feel safe sharing how we feel and if we do have a conflict we are able to handle it with honesty and fairness. We communicate and find the best approach to find solutions in a respectful way. This also shows our children how to effectively handle conflict as they grow up.
As a Hypnotherapist, Integrity is an essential value for building a long-term successful and sustainable business as most of my clients come from word of mouth, reviews and referrals. I became a Hypnotherapist because I used this modality myself to heal from relationship patterns, limiting beliefs, and past traumas. I lead by example to show my clients that they can heal also and they are worthy of it. My clients safety and well-being is my top priority so they feel comfortable being vulnerable and open up during sessions. I am very honest about the limitations of Hypnotherapy and tell my clients up front that I will always refer out if they become out of scope for my practice. My business motto is “I do no harm” as I have built an ethical practice with Integrity.
In life, my actions and words are consistent which helps others predict my behavior and that builds trust and reliability. I have a genuine, authentic and dependable character providing trust to anyone I encounter. I am the first one to admit when I am wrong or make a mistake as it’s a learning and how I grow.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Certified Hypnotherapist in Clinical Study and I specialize in Relationship Challenges particularly with Women. I attended HMI College of Hypnotherapy and finished a 3 year program in 1 year in which I graduated with Honors and a Certified Specialist in 12 different areas. I am also a Member of AHA (American Hypnosis Association) and The American Board of Hypnotherapy in which I have an A+ standing. I have a commitment to continue professional development and staying up to date with latest research and advancements in Hypnotherapy. I have a very close relationship my mentor which is an Instructor from the college and we meet monthly to go over changes, updates or to bring any questions to for guidance. I have exceptional skills in building rapport with my clients and creating a safe, trusting therapeutic environment. I approach each client with a client-centered focus which involves empathy, active listening, respect for autonomy, personalized treatment by getting to the root of the symptoms, building trust, collaboration, transparency, and leveraging my client strengths because no two clients are the same. This approach not only enhances our therapeutic relationship and client engagement but also empowers my clients and leads to better healing and higher satisfaction.
I also hold workshops separately from Hypnotherapy which are my ‘Healing Through Illustration Workshop’ and coming soon which I am super excited about is my ‘Interpersonal Relationship Skills Workshop’ which is a two day workshop and is a journey towards creating relationships of your dreams not only with others but with yourself! Finding out why you behave as you do, and why you select the partners that you do. This workshop gives the opportunity to experience who you are at a depth far beyond what you could ever experience on your own.
Getting to where I am today in my business wasn’t easy and it’s still work everyday! The area of holistic healing can be expensive and tends to be the last thing people spend money on so word of mouth is a huge marketing benefit. It has taken me some time to build my cliental and to get my name out there but I genuinely believe in what I do and have a huge passion for it so I am constantly talking about it!!!
There is one very important lesson that I have learned and that is to charge your value!!! I gave a huge discount to people in the beginning to get clients in the door. This completely backfired because the clients didn’t take the healing seriously. The more they invest the more serious they are is what I learned.
I want the world to know that Hypnotherapy is an amazing healing modality! I genuinely love helping people that want to help themselves. I used this healing modality to overcome past traumas which effected my previous relationships and it changed my life which is why I got certified and drives my excitement. My passion for greatness and success is through each one of my clients.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my husband, children, my circle of friends, and my clients as I wouldn’t be here without their love and support. When I didn’t have the courage or confidence to leave my job of 25 years to start my Hypnotherapy business my husband believed in me. His encouragement helped build the courage and confidence and I’m extremely grateful for him. When I was in school my children really stepped up and helped with household things so that I could focus on my task at hand. My circle of friends is very small but we all lift each other up with support and love, and I appreciate them greatly. Lastly, my clients which is an obvious shoutout because without their business I wouldn’t be able to do this work that I love to do!
