We had the good fortune of connecting with Christine Paz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christine, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting Ritual Physiques really came down to freedom and purpose. I’ve been in the fitness and wellness industry for over 15 years, and throughout that time I realized how much I valued creating meaningful connections with people, helping them transform not just their bodies, but their confidence, energy, and overall lifestyle.

I wanted to step away from the limitations of working in a traditional gym setting and build something more personal, more intentional. By bringing luxury in-home training to my clients, I’m able to meet them where they’re most comfortable and design programs that fit seamlessly into their lives.

At its core, Ritual Physiques was born out of my belief that fitness should feel empowering, accessible, and sustainable like a ritual that elevates your daily life, rather than just another task on your to-do list.

What should our readers know about your business?
Ritual Physiques is my way of redefining what personal training looks and feels like. I specialize in luxury in-home fitness experiences where clients don’t just get a workout, they get a program that blends movement, mindset, and lifestyle into something sustainable. What sets me apart is that I don’t just focus on aesthetics or short-term results. I teach my clients how to create rituals that make fitness feel like an empowering part of their daily lives, not another chore.

I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve built a business that reflects my values. I didn’t want to be confined to a traditional gym model, where clients often feel like just another number. Instead, I get to meet people where they are, create meaningful connections, and design highly personalized programs that transform both body and mind.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Starting out on my own meant facing plenty of self-doubt, financial uncertainty, and the pressure of proving myself in a competitive industry. But each challenge forced me to grow whether it was learning how to market myself, refine my approach, or simply trust the process. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that resilience and authenticity go further than anything else. If you stay true to who you are and keep showing up, opportunities will follow.

What I want the world to know about me and Ritual Physiques is simple: fitness isn’t just about looking good, it’s about feeling powerful, capable, and aligned with the best version of yourself. My mission is to help people experience that transformation in a way that feels elevated, personal, and lasting.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want them to really experience Arizona the way I love it active, outdoors, and full of great food.

We’d kick things off with a kayaking adventure on the Salt River, which is one of my favorite ways to spend a day. There’s nothing like being out on the water, spotting the wild horses, and just soaking up the beauty of the desert. Afterward, we’d grab a bite at Green Corner off Scottsdale Road and Shea (hands down some of the best Middle Eastern food in the Valley).

Day two would be all about biking. We have some amazing bike paths here, and I usually do about 20 miles when I ride. For visitors, I’d recommend renting an e-bike and exploring the trails that wind through the valley it’s such a fun way to see the area.

Of course, you can’t come to Arizona without hiking. I’d take them on a hike at Pinnacle Peak it’s manageable, beautiful, and gives you those iconic desert views without being too overwhelming. And if we had more time, I’d definitely plan a road trip up to the Grand Canyon. It’s one of those bucket-list places that never loses its magic, no matter how many times you’ve been.

For dinner, I love a mix of casual and elevated. If we wanted something a little more dressed up, I’d take them to Desert Ridge where you’ll find some fantastic restaurants like Ocean Prime and The Henry. It’s a great area for food, drinks, and people-watching.

And to top it all off, I’d make sure we experienced some of Arizona’s nightlife in a way that feels fun but still my style like catching a late-night comedy show at Stand Up Live or seeing one of our amazing local bands perform at a venue in Phoenix or Scottsdale.

For me, the perfect trip here is about moving your body, exploring nature, eating well, and enjoying the unique culture Arizona has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first shoutout goes to myself. It took a lot of courage to step away from the traditional path we’re taught at a young age go to school, get a stable job, play it safe. I knew I wanted something different: to help people and create a business on my own terms. I’m proud of myself for being brave enough to take that leap and build Ritual Physiques into what it is today.
Of course, I have to shout out my spouse, Dan Coury. He’s been by my side since day one, always encouraging me, advocating for me, and reminding me of my potential when I needed it most.
I’m also grateful for my close friends and family who have supported me throughout this journey. Even a small circle of genuine believers can make a huge difference.
And finally, I want to recognize some of the books that have shaped my mindset. The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, The Game of Life and How to Play It, The Power of Awareness, and The Laws of Human Nature, to name a few. They’ve helped me quiet self-doubt and lean into alignment, confidence, and belief in myself
