We had the good fortune of connecting with Concetta Bondi & Mariana Narvaez of P A L O S A N T O decor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Concetta Bondi & Mariana Narvaez, what are you inspired by?
We draw inspiration from a myriad of sources. Travel is at the core, allowing us to explore new destinations, cultures, and their rich artisanal heritage. One of the most essential aspects of traveling for us is the opportunity to engage with artisans and immerse ourselves in the cultural heritage of different places– including local traditions, techniques, and raw materials.

While the allure of a finished piece is undeniably exciting, for us it’s the honor of delving into the creation process and connecting with the people behind it that inspires us and drives us to want to share these treasures with the world. These human connections play a pivotal role in shaping our path, propelling our mission to showcase the stories of these incredible individuals through the treasures they create.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
P A L O S A N T O decor is luxury interiors brand specializing in one-of-a-kind, handcrafted objects that blend ancestral techniques with contemporary forms. At the core of our ethos is a dedication to showcasing Mexico’s rich cultural heritage and centuries-old traditions through heirloom-quality pieces designed to elevate our everyday experiences. From intricately woven textiles to clay pieces shaped by hand, each piece is a celebration of the past and the future, the timeless and the modern.

As a women-owned and led brand, our team is committed to supporting female entrepreneurs and creatives; we promote ethical and sustainable employment opportunities for female artisans and women-led studios and cooperatives. By investing in these communities, we wish to help contribute to the preservation and longevity of their traditions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
That’s a tough one!

We’d begin our day with morning coffee at Berdena’s, nestled in a charming section of Old Town Scottsdale, followed by a hike up to Camelback Mountain (a must-do for first-time visitors). Then, once we’ve worked up an appetite, we’d indulge in brunch in the most beautiful outdoor setting at El Chorro, in Paradise Valley. Afterwards, we would recommend exploring the cute independent boutiques in Old Town Scottsdale – among them, Market by Modern Nest.
Our personal favorite for shopping home treasures, just stepping into the shoppe inspires us with its beautiful smells and sights, including a selection of P A L O S A N T O special pieces. Then, we’d take a little shopping break and have our favorite drink, a Carajillo, at Call her Martina before a delicious dinner at CALA Scottsdale. We normally end up staying for the rest of the night because the ambiance is so great!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We are grateful for the support of our families, friends, and of course, eachother. We also deeply appreciate the invaluable support extended by our local communities, including Phoenix’s incredible design and creative community.
