We had the good fortune of connecting with Corrin DeBono and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corrin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my own business after working behind a bar for 13 years. I absolutely love the act of bartending and providing a service. Although I was tired of missing out on my children’s sports activities and important events in their lives. So I created a business that I could make my own schedule and hire staff if need be. My business took off and I truly believe it’s the best decision I could have made.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are a mobile bartending company who travels and provides a service to many different types of events. I am extremely proud of how quick my company became well known and thankful for everyone who has used our services. There have been trials and tribulations that have presented themselves but nothing we couldn’t get through and learn from. I currently have 4 employees and myself and they are all amazing!
I would say my biggest lesson learned is to take notes on every single phone call or meeting I have with my clients, and be sure to confirm those notes with the client prior to the event.
If there is anything that sets us apart from other companies it would be our variety of homemade syrups and mixers and the option to provide service to numerous events in one day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The city of Prescott is such a neat place with so many historic sites. It’s hard to pick and choose from all the best places. If I had to choose 3 places to visit in one day, I would most definitely take a trip to the Verde River, downtown to the square and then dinner at the Lazy G Brewhouse.
I would definitely suggest signing up for a puzzle ride downtown, it’s like an escape room on a golf cart!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to make a shoutout to Liz Sosa who owns Catering by Liz. She gave me the courage to leave my job and jump in full force to the event industry. She also helped me get my first few events and refers my business all the time!
Thank you Liz I will appreciate you always.
