We had the good fortune of connecting with Damon Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Damon, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
One of the key reason I’m pursuing a creative career is because I like to inspire others with my work. I believe that we all have creativity locked inside us and one of my goals is to unlock that spark. I love seeing what other individuals can do, be it music, videography, painting, writing, or anything involving creativity. I also would like to share my work with others and show what I’m capable of creatively, more so thinking outside of the box when it comes to the automotive sector.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of my biggest goals is to do more cinematic styles within my content, more specifically project unveils in a grand and almost movie like way. I’m really excited to show future car builds with their wild liveries, unique styling, and insane power figures. I will be honest, one of the biggest hurdles I had was mental health, specifically depression and anxiety. It now comes in goes in very small parts, but beforehand it was very difficult to even think about filming or making content due to those anxious feelings. I’m going at this 110% to show car culture, cool builds, and entertainment to as many people as I can, whether you’re new to automotive culture or have been an enthusiast for a long time, I promise to give my all and show as much varied automotive content as possible! My motto is simple; “Aspire To Inspire”, my goal is to inspire as many people as I possibly can and to be as kind to anyone as possible along the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I mostly stay on the East Side of the Valley, but a first stop definitely has to be the Japanese Friendship Garden in Downtown Phoenix! It’s very peaceful, scenic, and has history and culture that is fantastic to learn about. From there we’d have to go to Carrabba’s to get some pasta and maybe even some tiramisu! Another good place to go is the Penske Racing Museum in Scottsdale, and that’s were we go next! Seeing the racing history and the historic race cars is definitely something I recommend anyone go see for sure. It’s surrounded by exotic car dealers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, and Porsche, so a walk around the campus would be followed shortly after! A few more places to go would be Luxury Auto Collect, a wonderful place to go for new and used super cars, hyper cars, future classics, and more! Streetside Classics for all of your classic muscle and classic car and truck needs! McLaren Scottsdale for their incredible showroom, hospitality, and beautiful inventory, and Creative Bespoke for their jaw-dropping, one-of-one super car and luxury car builds!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give huge credit to the late Ken Block and Hoonigan Industries. Mr. Block was a big inspiration to a lot of us in the automotive industry and he definitely pushed everything he did to its limit. Hoonigan Industries made car culture cool, and inspired a ton of us to give it everything and stay creative. I’d like to also thank my mother and father for supporting my wild dreams to their fullest extent and appreciate their continuous support! I’d also like to thank everyone that has given me criticism, critique, and support on this adventure into the automotive content sphere, the support does not go unnoticed at all!
